Anyone has calculated the chance of a Band 1 軒小 AM boy could get admission to QC?  Pretty high I suppose but definitely not 100% as there's a lottery element in the allocation mechanism.  

If your son has a chance, would you try to transfer him away from 軒小, say, to La Salle, DBS, SPCC or St. Joseph at P.3 (to secure a F.1 place)?  If so, which school?

軒小band 1 生一般目標鎖定QC/BPS ，就算派去二線band 1 中學，一般都會接受。
多年來只有非常少學生入top tier 直資中學。去年有人被SPCC收了，另有人被dgs收了，但最後也放棄了。所以即使有機會，也不太吸引band 1生轉入那些附屬小學。


至於津校直屬小學，可算接近了（一樣免費）但那些直屬中學亦只是同級別，吸引力不算大，band 1 生，還是轉入的多，轉出的比較少。

I see.  You mean, even top 軒小 band 1 boys tend to stay with the school till P.6 (i.e. won't jump ship) and then try their luck to proceed to QC.  Sounds reasonable.  QC is better than SJC, LSC, SPCC, etc. in the eyes of a lot of parents, me included.

But if they unfortunately fail to get into QC, they may get into a band 2 school (e.g. Tang Kang Po)....

Just curious, for this year, any top students (say, top 30) in the two 軒小 fail to get admitted to QC or BPS?  I assume that they all target the two schools (depending on their gender, of course).

就算派去第二志願，也應是band 1 中學。
你可看看軒小個綱，了解派位情況。

It would appear that most (if not all) band 1 軒小 boys could get into QC (for years after the class size reduction to 25 in 2009).  

Say 130 for the whole 軒小 AM P.6 ==> 50 of them are band 1 ==> 30 are boys & 20 are girls (girls are more likely to be band 1 than boys, so the ratio is a bit lower than 2:1).

Given there are about 30 boys proceeding to QC each year, almost all band 1 軒小 boys should be able to get admitted to QC.

QC現在的成績其實主要係靠外來精英，當然軒小都有精英啦

除了軒小，QC還有間聯繫小學(愛官)，他們這些聯繫入讀的很多都在QC的後半位置

QC某程度上係聰明d，佢唔理你地可以係佢身上到d乜野，但佢起碼係同學身上番d野！正正符合甘迺迪總統的理念。

我朋友個仔讀緊軒官下年升F.1 佢都話入左軒官升中就唔洗驚有五間聯系學校(都有番禁上下)
加大半個灣仔區校網ge學校比其他校網好, 好幸福ar~唔洗煩派咩點都有2間唔錯ge Band 2做back up
