我聽講根德園沒有native speaker,但英文程度是否好呢？

我個女今年1yr, 心儀是根德園,因地址九龍塘博大抽獎入Maryknoll Convent ,因根德園課程深可配合她,上到p1,
唔需要追得甘慘,如大抽獎衰左,博SFA,亦可配合SFA的課程,
如題 "我聽講根德園沒有native speaker,但英文程度是否好呢？"讀緊或讀完根德Mum是否覺得根德的功課多, 幾辛苦果種,我是在職Mum, 根德小朋友是無 靈糧堂,創價果d甘開心??

Hello Catcat mama,

My son study Kentville in K3.  He is very happy in this two and half school life.   But it really the syllabas was difficult than the other kindergarden, especially Chinese and Maths.

For English, they have no native English teacher, but they can speak full sentenence.  The examination paper of Maths, also use the English. (including all the Kentville's notice)

Besides, they have no any visit or picnic, the monthly school fee is HK$24xx x 10 installments. (no additional cost, no party cost, but they have party and present gift to the child)

For my experience, Kentville has a good point---He/she is easier to accept the place by the private primary school, because they can sit down well, patient and can write down the chinese words (p1 standard).  

That's just my feeling and experience. Cheers!

I am agree with 小妹. My son graduated at Kentville and he can catch up the school sheudle in primary easlier.  Kentville is very strong for maths, chinese & english spelling although not native speaker. You can sent your daughter to phonic course.

My son accepted by DBSPD.  Do you have any idea regarding the syllabus for this?  Please advice and thanks a lot! Regards,

Woo. Congratulation! Hope James & your son will become a schoolmate after 7 years.

I am not sure the syllabus is same with DPS or not. But I got a info form another mamis' that her son studing at DBSPD. DPS is more traditional then DBSPD.

James got a good school report in the frist term of semester and I am encourage him & we will go to Kei Fook on Wednesday.

I agree that the Chinese they are learning at K3 is in high standard and also for English, they are also writing in full sentance -- An elephant is grey. They also had comprehension in their assessment. For English lesson, the teacher will use English for the whole lesson and also English listening question in every mental test held twice a week.
I just doult for thier Maths cos I don't know the standard of other school. I can see that my son is doing 13+*=20 and *=? I don't know is it really high standard?

My son also studying in the Kent., three years studying in the Kent. is well prepare the child for the primary life.  But U have to prepare yourself that your child will loss most of the fun of the kindergarten life, my friend tell me that Kent. don't have the graduation ceremony, I really shock when I heard about it.

I just wonder why you said the child will loss most of the fun of the kindergarten life? I can observe that my son and most of his schoolmate enjoy their school life so much. Playing is not the only thing that makes them happy. If you can foresee before your kid enter K1, then why you still push your kid into it?

Thank for your info.
Actually, My son has been learning phonics at
sXXd School in Mongkok since last year . His tutor
told me that the course will be finished within a year,
of course, its very depend on his performance.
I wonder if Kent can arrange their students to join
extra curricular activities like phonics, then my
daugther can group some kids with same age & English standard  together.
