Personal preference, I pick English.

If you apply EMI school, English is more appropriate.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

I did it in English.
I guess the most important thing is to stick to one language...don't do it in half english and half chinese!!

If the portfolio mentions some achievements of the applicant, you gotta mention it, right? How to mention it in a few words involves grammar anyway, from my perspective.

For example, a kid won a second runner-up in a singing competition in 2005.

Should it be written:
(1) awarded a second runner-up

Or

(2) awardee of the second runner-up

It is about grammar

如果係私校或直資,一定用英文啦!

除非叩一些地區津校,才用中文吧!

我覺得冇所謂,我相信大部份學校都識睇中文,棟一樣自己feel comfortable的言語就ok了。

如果我是老師 / 校長... 我較喜歡看中文 (不竟是我們的母語; 但國際學校除外)

I guess it would depend on which school you are applying. However, I would prefer English.
