仍是老問題!!

我知道BK 已有很多對於ST CAT 與民生的比較及討論資料，但我仍希望各位有經驗的家長就我女兒的情況，能給我一點意見。以下是我的情況及想法﹕

My daughter was born in Jan 2009. She has good memories and is a fast learner. She likes English very much and she can speak whole sentence in English. She can even read several hundred of english words. She likes reading as well. But next step, i want to teach her more on chinese coz i think chinese is getting more important. Also, i want her to become more confidence after attending K1.

She will attend K1 in the coming Sep and now she got two offer, St. Catherine (English/Cantonese am class) and Munsang (english/cantonese am class). If i choose st Catherine, i am afriad that she can't get a good P1 school offer coz we do not have advantages in the first round government allocation (only 15 marks).

I understand that MS will have 2 teachers (one Cantonese and one net) in each class in the coming K1 (like SC)and people are expecting MS will become much better kinder in the future. But if i choose MS, i can't join the government luck draw. I still want to see whether she can get P1 offer which is better than MS primary school.

I understand that if i choose st. catherine, i will prepare to provide her lots of extra activities in order to help her to get a good private school offer.

I am planning to let her to go to tranditional primary school. How to choose from SC and MS?what is your opinion?

MS primary school is also a tranditional primary school. So why you are in dilemma?

You want your daughter to go to a better primary school but not dare to take the risk.  Just like want to win the Mark Six but are afraid of losing money.

Most of the places of good primary school are not guarantee and not for govt lucky draw. Be confident to your daughter.

P.S. My son will also join SC this year.

唔知要幾時答覆民小個位呢?除非很早要答覆,
否則,雖然冇得大抽獎,但都可以去考直資or私小架!
除非你一定要揀津校! 都有很多好的直資/私小的!

My son get several good offers. We choose SC because we want my son to be more initiative, outgoing and presentable instead of learning few more words in his childhood.

Looking at the commercial world, presentation (packaging) is more important than knowledge. Of course, there must be substance in your presentation.  Therefore, we take the balance.

I am old girl of MS and i think MS is a good traditional school if that is what you want!
even i am old girl of MS, they refuse my son ( born in 9/.2009).

好難幫你喎，揀民生又唔想放棄大抽獎，揀sc又話考其他直資、私校要額外投放資源，其實無論你讀邊間，你都會去考，都會另外參加其他班，咁又有乜分別呢？

讀邊間幼稚園同派位、大抽獎冇關，不如你講下你心儀邊間官校、津校，等人可以分析用15分直唔直得博下，又或者係呢個時世，龍校會唔會比較穩陣啲。

LL222, i have asked the principal of MS kinder in person. She said we can apply the government-aid P1 in the first round. But our name will be deleted from the lucky draw if we choose MS.
