「普通小學嘅全級3-5年級第一名」
小學本身的程度，比學生的全級名次重要，所以最重要是學生在全港學生的名次(EDB's rank order list)。
在小學A中全級考第十，實際能力可能比一間普通小學B的全級第一高。因此，大部份學校都會將所有報名的學生，交給教育局排名次。

至於小提琴，若考到演奏級的較好。

my friend's daughter is on waiting list now . She is very good at sports , does anyone of you have any ideas will she get in to DGS ? She has already met the principal on the 3/4

Do you mean 2nd interview?

Did she receive any letter (Offer, Reserved list or Reject) from DGS?

Yes, she received the waiting list letter and replied to DGS about agreeing to be put in the waiting list. Afterwards, she received a call from DGS to join the interview of Mrs Lau with another 10 odd candidates.

In that case, I think the chance is quite high.
Did the school inform her to come on April 21 to take a test?

Has she paid the cheques of $800 and $3000 and handed in Student' record form of P6? If yes, she is already in, if not, the result may depend on the test. But, it is not allowed to have writing test for Secondary One entry according to Education Bureau.

I would think 分班試 is only for those who are already admitted or registered. If not, why it is called "分班試", and not some other names such as "admission test".

Anyone has any idea what are the format of 分班試 for English, Chinese, Maths and PTH?
