I also got referral to subject schools by agencies in HK. Based on my research & comments by other parents, Dauntsey should be the first choice (good academic result & very devoted Headmaster. You should get a chance to meet him when he visits HK) and then followed by Ashford (also good academic result but quite a number of HK students) & Queen Ethelburgas (Ok with academic result, beautiful campus but many overseas students including from PRC).
nor778, my daughter is accepted Y12 offered by Dauntsey's in coming Sept, we have visited the school campus, the environments is so great and facilities also modern and updated.
ranking is one of the factors to consider, several factors to decide, 1st, ranking, 2nd, fare (6500 to 10,000 per term), 3rd location, (time consume in transport), etc. you could visit the schools' website to see its facilities, lcoation, etc. what are the ranking of these 3 schools
Total agree with dkshing that ranking is one of criteria for school selection. But of course, if the parents only consider the ranking/brand name, then it is easy.
There is no perfect school but best fit one for our child.
I got offered by QE and Ashford. Dauntsey's school however is still need to wait for the admission exam.
Ashford is telling me to give 1 term's fee which is quite a lot, causing me a major problem right now.
I am not sure if i got the time to have reply from dauntsey's school.
