Why some parents keep asking opinion between two or more schools

Why parents are not set priority before apply those school? In case all of them offer, just choose the higher one...... am I correct?

Many reasons .... like lazy, greedy, selfish, busy ... many excuse to keep more than one offer and think last moment up to 2012 August ...

i think parents have 1st/2nd choice in mind. However if they don't have those on hand, they may need to think about it. Some schools really have similar level

What's wrong with that?  One may have limited knowledge about the schools and once being accepted, seek more opinion before making a decision.  I would say those keep the seat for a long period is selfish, but asking more info before giving up the seat is a normal practice for parents.  Be relax......

PS:  I don't have a child going to P1 in 2012 Sept.

Why cannot think again after being accepted?  Even though the initial ranking in my mind is A, B, C.  I'll still ask for comments if I were being accepted by A & C.  Pls also see from other's angles.

But don't you find ppl always ans ," why don't you ask until the school give you the offer" or "don't think too much, the competition is keen, apply first and get a chance"

其實我好明白你感受,不過希望你也能理解其他家長,可能要少少時間考慮先夠胆唔要某些offer.尤其近年......
得閒讀多幾次自己個login name,等下等下,一定有offer.

選間好學校影響深遠, 6年小學以至中學派位, 當然要審慎, 不是買件衫咁簡單, 人人都愛自己既小寶寶, 點解唔可以問問意見, 再細心考慮?等到出年6月重HOLD幾個位未決定就唔好, 而家剛剛收到OFFER考慮下, 問下意見有MUD問題?話人自私唔放位既家長, 請站在別人立場想想

其實你係岩架, 不過呢, 學校公報的時間有前有後, 可能最心怡那間在後面才出result, 所以有家長會hold多過一間, 大家可以理解的~~~

每個小朋友的性格, 才能, 專長都唔同, 而每間學校亦有唔同特質, 有好處亦有壞處, "甲之熊掌, 乙之砒霜", 即使好運有多個OFFER晌手既, 都想為自己小朋友搵一間最適合既小學, 問下意見, 正正係大家來呢個討論區既原因.

好似大人轉工咁有offer都會做下research之嘛；有人考慮錢有人考慮地點同前途等，brainstorm下好正常啫，唔會接受唔到掛，放鬆啲啦香港人。

When do you consider to be reasonable timing to release extra one or more ?  Like Dec 2011, 1st quarter 2012 or else ? ... If really thinking upto August 2012 ... nothing to say except "cheap"
