政府派位好唔好，又唔關學校事嘅~

樓主究竟知唔知ST.cat 有幾多人呢？

Is there any solid clues that St Cat primary allocation is not good at the moment or only rumour? How about about schools like KV or Victoria?

But I think even if there is drop in percentage to good school is normal as the no of applicants to DSS or private school has increased compared with last year. Every good primary school is in terms of thousand applicants for hundred seats.

其實，SC年年都有一班成績好好嘅學生，亦有一班無乜offer嘅人，無乜咁特別，間間學校都係咁架啦~
唔好神化咗某d學校啦！

I think if you treat a good kinder as high admission rate to SPCC, DBS, DGS, then I would expect the admission rate to those school drop as more people mentioned before.

But one question is will those "elite schools" increase the number of seats due to more applicants? Not really sure whether the school management will do this or not in the coming few years.

如果係考直資同私校, 真係唔係睇邊間學校. 父母的參與都好重要. 唔係話一入名幼, 父母就可以交晒俾學校.

But do you think St Cat is good or not if this year the school has good admission rate to "La Salle, St Joe, Wah Yan, MaryKnoll, MaryMount" but bad admission rate to "SPCC, DBS, DGS".

I think you need to have more research on St. Cat Curriculum.  St. Cat has assessment (exam) and revision (test),  and the scheduled assessment result will reflect in the school report.

我個仔讀 KV 都是得 one offer now (佢考左六間,有兩間未出 result)...

I don't think the admission is/will be too bad this year...

My girl is at K3 of St. Cat., quiet a lot of her classmates have 2nd interviews of popular schools (DG, TSL, YW, SFA, KTS, SPCC so on ... but of cox depends on which are the "good schools" u refer to).  As far as those already released such as Good Hope, SFA, KTS, there are quite a number of my girl's classmates being accepted, and there are some schools (such as DG, APS) yet to release results.

如果係同Happy school無測驗有關既,咁就唔應該只止今年,而係年年都咁差啦.

I guess St. Jo, Wah Yan, Maryknoll, MaryMount, La Salle, they are all 津小, no matter the kinder, they will not consider. But for other 私小，直資，not sure they still continue to like SC kinder student.
If they consider the interview performance rather than the kinder, I may prefer "one dragon" school. I just want to get more opinions from you guys. SC still many parents 1st preference on selection and this year around 7,000 applications for 2012-2013

我個仔都係讀KV, 現有兩間offer, 其中一間係waiting轉offer(有寫信), 但我地都考左9間, 有3間未知。雖然學校教識小兒很多知識, 但我覺得家長配合很重要, 我睇過BK有位家長, 佢很用心教導, 她的女兒成功考獲多間私小和直資,因此我覺得自己做得不夠。
