True.  No specific percentage is guaranteed admission but I think HYPS students would certianly have signficant advantage over non-HYPS students in F.1 admission process.  I guess 75% would be offered spaces and in the next 6 years they will BEEF UP HYPS students' capability for sure.

個人意見

我會選協恩, 你比學費去APS讀6年, 6年後升中又要再煩過, 6年後你又有可能想入返協中,但今年升中協中得83個位比校外生,有成1404人爭,雖然協中未公佈2012-2013入讀小一學生升中安排,但我覺得協中唔會收外來生多過收協小,始終協小都係傳統小學,學術及音樂及體育要求都高

Normally, there are 170 students in Form 1. HYS will receive 87% of HYPS. Therefore the information is correct.

HYPS P.6  around 114 students
114 x 85% will be in HYS  97 students
HYS  5 classes x 36  180 students
Students outside will be (180 - 97 ) 83 more or less.

This year due to reduction in class size P.1 has a total of only 90 students; therefore by the time 2012 classs becomes P.6 in 2017, 85%(if no change) x 90 = 76 HYPS and then 104 for non- HYPS students.  

Thus, I believe HYPS will strngthen and beef up the academic side of their HYPS students.

My daugther is happy with the schoollife in HYPS and she will be F1 in HYS in this year.Teachers in HYPS are kind and fair to all of the students.I never compare her acadamic performance aganist anyone,her languages (Eng & Chi) ability is much better than I was in P6.

With the uncertainty created by the change of HYS to a DSS, HYPS will surely pump up the pressure on her students academically  especially in the coming years.  Did your daughter particpate in many ECA?  Did she also go through an interview for HYS space at F.1?  Thanks.

My girl participates many ECA in school.She is very active in school.
From P5,HYPS ranges the students in five grades based on the examination result.The best 20% A , next 20% B ,
and so on .....
Of course , it is confidential and only known by student herself only.
My gril will have an interveiw on this Saturday and she should get a seat in HYS as she is belonged to the top 20%.
