Answers as follows:
Do KCIS kinder / reception kids mostly stay with the primary school?
Ans: Last year, about 4 out of 80 kindergarten class students left KCIS. About 30 reception class students left kcis with most of them continuing their KCS mainstream section , targeting local primary schools

Am I correct that they will be automatically promoted to the primary section?
And: yes , KCIS is a through train school

If the kids are not joining the primary schools, where do they usually go?
ans: mostly local schools (eg DBS)

is the newsletter (mentioned in your previous posts) publicly available?

Ans: The newsletter is only available to KCIS parents

Welcome back everyone after Chinese New Year festivities!

Keep Place Letters:
These letters will come home today in your child’s schoolbag.
Each year at this time we send this letter home, because each year we need to know how many vacancies we have for new students in each year group.
Our waiting lists are long, particularly for Primary 1 and 2 year groups, and when we know how many places we have available in September we can begin our interviewing process.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation in this, the $1,000 you send us now is deducted from your September School Fees. Deadline for payment is 17th February.

Finally, Advance Dates for your diaries:

Monday/Wednesday 5th/7th March – Teacher-led Extra Curricular Activities start for the second term.

5th – 7th March – Primary 4 Camp

15th – 16th March – Primary 3 Camp

Friday 23rd March – Sports Day for Primary 2 – 6, at Aberdeen Sports Ground.

Friday 30th March – Last day of Spring Term, finish at 12 noon.

Monday 16th April – First day of the Summer Term, 9 a.m. start.

I don't really know . But, I have received the mid-year progress report for my son. By the way, my son told me that there are two class teachers for his class apart from the mandarin teacher .

I had a school visit previously, and if I remember correctly, Anita mentioned there is one class teacher + one teaching assistant per class, and they will move to another classroom for mandarin lesson?

我自己自從知道SWCK小學要92000一年, 我就好擔心
不過我先生佢好BUY SWCK
但KCIS小學學費真的比SWCK平好多
今晚同佢商量下
睇下會唔會比埋KCIS DEPOSIT

One thing for sure, KCIS believes your daughter will do well and excel in their school given that she had 20% chance during the inerview

即係有幾多人都唔要offer先到我女...哈哈
不過我都好開心
我想我多數會take offer
一來, 小學我唔駛擔心, 學費平左(相對ica), 屋企有車到北角, 又有中文學
基本上, 我應該洗少幾多錢

For international primary schools charging tuition fee of HK$60,000-70,000 per year, there are very few choices. The strong Mandarin program further adds its appeal. Admission for KCIS this year is special, because many applicants originally target KCS+KCIS. But, having known that KCS stop the dual enrolment, those parents opt for other school offers

Ching Wah campus accommodates students studying KCS K1-K3, KCS P1-6 and KCIS Kindergarten-P1 only.

My younger son has been studying in SWCK since Jan 2012. SWCK communicates with individual parents by phone calls. KCIS communicates with individual parents via a school book (blue book). SWCK has two English teachers per class. SWCK also provides support for students with special needs (at extra charges). SWCK's Chinese teachers use English to teach Mandarin.

I cannot compare the English standard of KCIS and SWCK, because my two sons are in different levels. And my elder son is considered to be qifted in languages. My elder son often correct our pronounications. My elder son's (KCIS) classmates are native English kids with proper accent.

I prefer KCIS for better Chinese standard and more affordable school fees

Ans: The Chinese teacher may say "Ni Hao" means "How are you?" supplemented with Pingyi. I heard (not 100% sure) that ESF also teaches students in this manner

Do you still remember what your application number was?  I am around 200 for 2013 school year, and I am trying to guess if I will even have a chance for interview.
