聖保羅堂 vs 高主教

聖保羅堂上午收了我兒子, 今日突然收到高主教電話, 問我仔讀唔讀下午班, 可否給我一點意見?

as my son is studying in SPC K2 am class, and i would like my son to repeat K2 (small boy), i will switching to Ramondi next year.

SPC is really a good school however doesn't have a back up primary school.

thanks cmir, but i heard that SPC can allocate to good primary school, isn't it?

根據佢地個網上資料, 頭3位主要派去st. louis, st. peter & 高主教.  如果係咁, why not go to高主教directly?! But have to concern about the school fee, SPC has voucher.

SPC 係好, 但始終無小學, 讀得SPC, 絕大部份家長都會考直資,私校, 而target school來來去去都係果幾間, 如SPCC, St. Louis, RC, St. Paul Boys.  要入SPCC, 真係難過登天, 剩番果3間其實都差唔多, 如果RC Kindergarten真係有50%可以入番RC Primary, 實在讀得過, 讀完SPC,第日咪又係要考RC Primary, 仲要10幾20人爭1個位, 除非RC Kindergarten 真係辨得好差 (我諗唔會掛), 否則我會選RC.  

**我個仔宜家讀緊SPC.

Thanks for all opinions.  Just wondering the teachers and syllabas for 高主教.  This is the first year they resumed KG, not sure if things are doing good or not.  Anyone know how many English and Mandrin per week will K1 have?

Difficult to choose....
Lots of 直資,私校 like 聖公會student. Sigh...Iit's so competitive nowadays, it's better to have a backup, so i will choose Ramondi.

SKH 同 高主教的話, 我會選SKH, SKH比SPC容易考入SPCC, 值得一博, 就算考唔入, 以SKH的名氣, 要入高主教或St. Louis都好易.

cmir,但我計過舊年skh around一半人係入spcc, st paul boy, dbs, dgs,英華.
2分1幾會入超級名校真係好吸引.
其實佢有75%考到直資,而直資中好似高主教已經算唔係咁勁個d.
如果用去年的成績,75%入高主教或以上的學校,比例好似仲高過讀高幼.
不過當然知道年年成績都不同,同埋2,3年後competition仲大.

that's why we have to know our kids well. As my son is not really smart, i don't think there's much chance to get into those top of the top DSS school. That's why i would be more conservative and need a back up and choose Ramondi.

Also, getting into SKH is already difficult. My son only got waiting list last year.....sigh.....

我睇番SKH個表，有72%入私立or直資，而學校名單上，高主教不是最勁那幾間，但也不是名氣最小那幾間，所以減去名氣較小那些，也大概是一半學生可以入到高主教or更勁的學校吧。可是，要知道，SKH特別多St Paul Co-ed,St Paul Boys的舊生子女，而且這學校的家長，大部分都谷子女谷得很（可參考SKH website獎項那版），所以我的分析是，如從SKH and Raimondi Kindergarten這兩間去揀：

1. 如果父母是St Paul Co-Ed, DBS or DGS 這三間超級名校的舊生，揀SKH。
2. 否則，揀Raimondi吧。

同意.... 另提一點, 明年開始有高幼, 從其他kg入高小的機會肯定少啲啦...
上次聽校長講, 英文每天一堂, 約20分鐘...普通話唔記得, 有冇人有資料呀?
