About friendship

I have received a few people asking about how to help yr kid to make friends since they are too self-centred, poor in speech and social skills. I admit that my son do have quite a few gd fds, some are even just met in playground without my "DIRECT" intervention.
But because this topic is a bit broad & subjective, could I go into guidelines & practical hints directly and skip the details about theory ( I also think there are a lot of people in here having more thorough study about theory of social skills than me )
Please let me know if you have anything to know about friendship apart from the above.
