but I am sure not all students are smart or clever in those schools, esp those with strong connection, i.e. old boys' son/daughter. and also dont forget the remaining ~50% are from lucky draw (for govt/sub. schools), so the students' standard are actually quite diff. so dont cheat yourself with such excuse.

Agreed. Some kids get offers by their luck , not by their abilities.

當知道讀普通的小學都一樣有壓力的時候，咁不如揀係名校讀啦！

You are only talking about the DSS / private primary schools and not the government subsidized ones correct?

Because it is not possible to have 個個都係精英 when the school principal has not even seen the report cards of the students who are going to study in their schools under the current points + lottery system

even they can see the score cards, I don't think they can really see the real talent, or at least not all, of the the kids.

again, rather than taking the risk of placing the kids into a place with no/less track record, i will just stick with the well-known schools.
