All the DGJS girls that I know are happy at school. My daughter is now in P.4 and I have never heard of any of her friends feeling unhappy or asking their parents to quit. The girls do not have any pressure from the school. If they have any, it must have been from their own parents. So why believe in someone who claims to have 2nd-hand knowledge but not those experiencing it 1st hand?
As for Mr and Mrs Lamb, I don't believe in what magazines said. If they really don't like DGJS, they would not have sent their younger girl to the school who is now in P.2. They should not have only realised the "terrible truth" about the Senior School at this late stage. Rather, it should be their dissatisfaction and vote of no-confidence towards HK's secondary education in general that explain their move. It is not uncommon for DGJS graduates to switch to international school or even go abroad after their primary education.
After all, many students spend 4 hours or even more to do their homework, even when they are in primary schools. I am not referring to DGJS... girls don't need to spend much time doing their homework... except art homework perhaps! I hope the above can help dispel the last bit of doubt, if any.
