我最初都以為入左 waiting list 希望會大d，但原來後備相同於 reject，咁即係又多人爭左，有d失望、唔開心...

dont be so sad..........my son also got waiting list last year, but several days later already got call from the school as some good parents give up the place immediately after their consideration instead of holding the place till the end........

so be positive......may be u will get call le............^_^

Try not to look at things from the negative side.

It's just like a glass of water that is either be described as "half empty or half full".  The control is in the hands of the parents to help their own kids if they cannot be offered in the first place.  And I am sure for someone who can get a seat thru this channel, they would know even more about the school itself, and learn to appreciate it even more.  Isn't that even better?

The issue nowadays is, many parents really don't have the opportunity to really know about their target school so well to make a suitable choice for their children.  So now, you are given such a chance to find out more and have this second chance to prove if your first impression is indeed correct.  At the end, the choice is in your own hand, stay positive and there is still a long road ahead!

The registration period is from Nov 5 - 9, and the preparation program will begin on Nov. 12.  So, take actions now if you really want to be considered from waiting list.

There are some parents who have handed in letters by hand today already.  The style of this primary school is they will response very fast (as you have witnessed from the interview arrangement and the quick notification letters), so if there are vacancies after Nov.9, do expect there will be phone calls very soon.

IanTsang, 11月開始的導向班是否一定要參加呢? 如果唔參加會否影响到入學時的上堂表現呢?如果自行收咗, 學校係咪會知道, 會否即時取消留位呢? 學校是否真的同意申請人現LUCKY DRAW呢?

依幾日都好似冇乜學校出結果，相信有幸被取錄既都會交左留位費先算...

請問如果要交信叩門，俾校長定係副校長? 係咪副校先係小學部既 "話事人"??

First, congratulation of receiving the offer.

Concerning the preparation course, I would suggest you to ask the school directly.  However, it is not just for academic preparation as there are more than just school works to prepare a child for the transition.

There won't be notifications from EDB after Discretionary Places (自行), instead it will be done before lucky draw.

Concerning the school, it totally understand and respects the parents decision to participate in the lucky draw.

我囝囝都係備取生, 我想知如果有幸獲錄取仲有冇得上導向課程, 因為課程12/11 就會開始, 如果要等到統一派位先有人放棄學位的話, 咪冇左個導向課程?

我識有個FRIEND, 佢仔出年先考小學, 佢已經決定一定要考ST LOUIS even 佢唔會比佢仔讀呢間, 因為佢想個仔可以上小一導向課程.......
