Chinese tutorial class for IS students

My son is currently studying G1 at international school.  I would like to find some tutorial class for Chinese after school in order to upgrade his Chinese standard. Any good recommendation?  I've tried Luk Chan in which the result is not that satisfactory.  Any information for sharing?

Have you tried using a private tutor? Each kid learns differently, some enjoy class environment while others enjoy interaction with a one-on-one private tutor. If he likes class environment but Luk Chan does not work, you may try Kumon Chinese or 直映.

The most important thing though is reading to him by a parent every night. At this age, your kid should be able to enjoy the stories in illustrated chapter books. For boys, they like 三國演義, 水滸傳 etc.. You may find an abriged version suitable for his age in the Commercial Press book shop. At this age, the most important thing is to build up his Chinese vocabularies. Good luck.
