各位爸爸媽媽,
本人第一次在這裏出post, 有事想向各位有經驗的爸爸媽媽請教.

小女與很多爸爸媽媽的寶貝一樣, 今年申請K1入學, 總數申請了5幼稚園. 分別是 : 協恩; St. Teresa; St. Rose; 培道 和 靈糧堂.  現在除 St. Rose還未 interview外, 其他已很幸運地收到留位通知書.  本來我沒有想到會有這

I will choose 協恩 too as it is my dream school. Since my daughter is botn on Oct, we haven't a chance to apply it school.

但如果選擇協恩的話, 三年後將要重新面對選擇小一的挑戰...而且我的女兒重要只有15分去申請協恩小學...

           我想問協恩幼稚園的程度會否好過sts , 大家同樣都要玩大抽獎(小一派位) . 若果程度高d, 會否對考出面私校, 直資學校有保障.

我只能說以名聲來說, 協恩的確是比STS好.  但是我不知道兩校的程度是否有高低之分. 我只可以自己所知的來說. 我自己亦是於一所名校畢業 (希望我的中文沒有破壞我母校的名聲, 而不幸的是我的母校只是男校). 以當年我所看到的, 十個同學裏有一半是由STS進來. 所以我絕對相信STS學生的實力.
至於協恩, 正如我第一句所說, 她的名聲的確是比STS高. 但是我所認識的是協恩小學及中學. 並不是協恩幼稚園. 所以我不能

若果你囡囡能考上到協恩小學及中學, 我必定為你高興, 因為我自己都怕大抽獎的時候,我囡囡沒有那麼幸運, 所以比多一保障佢, 能夠有實力考其他學校及第3輪叩門的機會.

I think if your daughter's performance is good in the Kindergarden, the Primary school will accept her.    Don't Worry!

my son applied 5 kinder, now i'm still waiting for the good news, i think i can't sleep well until he accepted by one of the kinder.   

you can see that 協恩 always full and no one drop out in K2 or K3.

May I know how many 協恩幼稚園 kids can enter 協恩小學 ?

I think a lot of parents cannot sleep well these few weeks to make a choice out of the successful kinders.  Every kinder has its pros and cons, and such headache will appear again when our kids apply for primary schools and secondary schools.  

It is difficult to search for a kinder which can guarantee a place in primary school.  So may be at this point of time it is more important to choose a kinder which really fits your kid's character.  e.g. St. Teresa is definitely a famous school, but I know that it is quite traditional and may not suitable for very active kids.

For me, I choose the most preferred 2 kinders and ask my kids to give some opinion from their point of view.  My elder girl can also give some opinion from her kid's point of view and my younger girl also can tell me which school she likes to study.  So I also take into account their opinion and choose the one which fit her best, i.e. she will be happy studying there for a few years and can achieve certain academic standard which is acceptable to me.

Yes, you are right!  The end user is my baby girl and our final decision will be the one she needs to spend for 3 years. (and then 6 years for primary and another 6 years for secondary   )
Anyway, thanks all for sharing your valuable comment.  I decide to squeeze some time (pay all the reservation fee) before the final "judgement day"
