boys application to SHCK???

Hi There Ian,
Have read lots of your advices over the weekend (it is such a relief that we have someone as knowledgable as you are being the "web master" here for SH)  and am hoping that you can shed some light on my questions here, please:

- My girl starts K3 in coming Sept at SHCK.  My boy will start K1 in Sept 2012.
We are so fond of SHCK and in love with both the school and the dedicated staff there even though it does not have the "one-dragon" Primary school for boys.

Rumor has it that SHCK only accepts boys whose parents are on staff.  Q - How true is this?  And what chances do we have with the elder sister graduating from K3 in 2012 and neither of us is part of the school staff?

Did you mean your daughter will be joining SHCK at K3 from other kindergarten?  If so, congratulations to you first!

Concerning boys' applications, can be pretty sure that the rumor you mentioned (I never heard of that) is a bogus.  Actually the realistic situation is most (not all) boys have elder sisters either studying or graduated from this kindergarten.  This doesn't mean they got accepted because they have such relationship, but most of the time those parents who have children studied in here before would love to send their kids, no matter boys or girls, back here only.  So, at the end, no need to worry at all.

Very agree with Ian.
Personally think SHCK is very fair to all the applicants.

By the way, aplogies for not making this more clear earlier - my girl is an existing SHCK student and she will start K3 next month.
