Just curiosity, some parents mentioned that taking more IGCSE subjects can benefit the IBDP students, particularly in EE & TOK subjects. Pls elaborate the rationale behind.

My question based on curiosity, nothing offensive.

My son will take year 1 IBDP in another school after summer, I talked to different people and got some ideas about EE & TOK. Also, my son won't take the IGCSE or GCE-AL, even he may study in UK.

I guess extensive reading and learn some basic research methodologies also very helpful in EE & TOK.
