應該用 "Which" 定係用"What"呢??

想請教其他媽咪:

若果想choose a colour, 應該問:-

1) Which colour do you like? 定係
2) What colour do you like?

無論在阿仔的Letterland Phonic Class (英式英語)或DWE嘅function (美式英語)中，我都聽到導師用 "What colour?"

但我好懷疑，因我印象中若要在眾多colour之中選一個顏色，似乎應該用"Which colour do you like?" 或"Which one will you choose?"

除非老師想個小朋友答佢呢隻係乜嘢色先會問"What colour is it?"

大家有乜睇法呢？

If I remember well (from Oxford English). Correct me if I'm wrong:

- You use "which" if you are offering a few choices. e.g. if there's red, blue & yellow, then you can ask your son, "which color will you choose?" his choice is within the 3 colors.

- You use "what" if you don't offer a choice.  If you heard people that, "What color is xxx?"  or "What color do you like?"

I have exactly the same way of thinking as yours.

However, I usually found teachers/performers saying "what" under the first circumstance..... so I start wondering which one is correct!!

Any further views from other mom please?
