Re: Cambridge English
Some secondary schools will see students' results of Cambridge English. So it is good for primary 6 students to take the Flyers exam (for primary 5 & 6 students) before they apply for secondary schools. But make sure to get full marks (i.e. 15 shields, 5 shields each for listening, writing and oral) or at least 12 shields.
I think it is also useful for the kids to take the Starters (for primary 1 & 2) and Movers (for primary 3 & 4) exam. It can help to improve and test the kids' English standard in listening, writing and oral.
My son got full marks in the Starters (2 years ago) and also Movers exam (in September). My son's English standard is not bad, so I just arranged him to take a short course in an English centre in Hung Hom to get familiar with the exam format and did some past papers. I don't think it is worthwhile to take a 1-year course to prepare for the exam. Some centres claimed their students got full marks but please note that their students had taken more than 6 months or even 1 year to prepare for the exam. The centre does not recommend to take such a long course.
The Centre is famous for Cambridge English.
Some students come from Tai Po, Tsuen Wan and Sai Wan Ho. For those who have interest, please contact them on 2330 5887.
