想大家俾Ｄ意見。 呀仔而家讀緊國際幼稚園下午班。 今年將會升K2。 因佢由出世到而家都大部份時間用英文。 所以中文程度比較差。 到而家都未識講廣東話。 而且冇咩心機學中文。 而家考慮如果早上報多間近屋企本地幼稚園。 會唔會對佢太辛苦因為會立刻上K2 。或影響左佢下午返學學習。或者可唔可以由K1 開始 讀起? 或者有其他更好選擇?

畀小朋友讀IS KG而家庭又唔配合加強中文教育,應該預咗佢地對中文會幾抗拒架喎...樓主你有冇諗過到底小學想點先(IS或LS)?須知道讀2間KG,對小朋友來說係好辛苦的一回事.

係。 因為太太唔係本地人而我由BB 出生後都唔係好注意到呢個問題。所以出生後都係英文主導。 以為BB 混入香港環境BB 便會自動學習語言。 但係而家發覺可能唔係呢回事。 。而家都會繼續考慮佢會繼續走IS 路徑。 但係點都好中文都係重要一科。 所以我都需要諗方法改善佢講和學習中文既興趣。

I knew a kid who studying in two kindergartens ,one is IS and one is local,I really couldn't believe my eyes ,how they parents bring her up like that . She has no afternoon nap and getting thinner and thinner .Do you think she enjoys her life ? I do think the parents are not taking their responsibility and just doing the things that they think is good for the kid. Please don't push them to hard.My girl also studying in IS and I'm teaching the chinese by my self but it is also very hard for her .

I love my kids to have proper lunch (not in a car) and nap so I won't let them study at 2 kinde.  They have many many years ahead and please don't rush them to do everything at toddler's time.

同埋"如果大Ｄ可能學習其他語言會更加困難",有必然關係嗎?

我係擔心讀2間KG對小朋友帶來的負面影響可能比佢可以學到中文,更大更深遠.健康/正常飲食/每日小休...呢啲對小朋友的發展好重要.好多家長雖然心知呢啲重要,但如果在學術面前(例如學多一門XYZ),呢啲理由似乎都不成理由.但如果換另一個方法告訴你,長期的休息不足,足以影響小朋友的情緒發展,而情緒發展,又足以影響佢將來的求學,呢個理由會唔會係說服力強啲? (如果係,老實講,我覺得好悲哀,不過,如果可以令小朋友有番一個童年,都是好事.)

亦有人會認為,其實他們咁細個,返KG都係玩啫,留係屋企玩不如返學校玩.但須知對小朋友來說,玩=學習,每日6小時按住課程按照時間表來"玩",好累架.

況且,除了再返一間本地KG,學中文應該仲有好多方法,包括playgroup同一啲興趣班.

建議樓主將2個問題分開處理(讀2間KGvs學中文).仲有,有好些家長因為本地KG有學券,計埋每月學費仲平過報坊間的興趣班,所以讓小朋友讀2間KG.呢種做法直頭是本末倒置,將大人的計算能力凌駕於小朋友的需要之上.

Totally agree.  Also, I assume most parents buying the teaching philosophy of IS don't want to press their kids in that way.  There are many excuses (e.g. the kid also agrees or even likes to attend 2 kindergartens, the kid doesn't want afternoon nap)...Please reconsider.

u can play Chinese music and story CD at home so your baby can get in touch with cantonese or Putonghua more.  When u watch TV at home, watch Chinese channel. He must love cartoon. Let him watch Chinese cartoon.

如果你不大考慮 $$ 的問題，提議你每日請上門補習老師去教仔仔中文。一對一學中文，一定比返幼稚園學得多，由唔洗咁辛苦。
你唔洗請D咩名師，讀緊大學的學生都已好OK。請個大學生姐姐，陪仔玩下遊戲，讀下故事書，認少少字。

如果你小朋友讀的國際學校是一條龍到中學便沒有問題了,因不怕要回頭讀本地學校,而擔心中文水平問題, 你可以安排在外面學習及自己教小朋友中文。而讀的國際學校的目的也是為了英文好,將來出國讀書而鋪路,你要思考這個問題。

有時好難兩全其美,總有一面是高分的,一面會低小小分的。

I understand your situation. I was lucky in a way that my elder son (4.5 year old) can switch back to International school, having spent 1.5 years in local school. About 2 years old, My elder son studied in an international kindergarten for 6 months. When we switch him to KCS, he did not speak Mandarin in the beginning and did not like Chinese. Now, he can speak and listen in Mandarin. When we brought him to Taiwan recently, he has no problem in mingling with the kids in Taiwan. According to his English teacher in school, his English is top tier in the class. But, we feel that he is not in par with kids in international school. Anyway, we believe his English standard will improve as he will be taught and exposed predominately in English in next 20 years. I am still considering my younger son, but my boss said that he saw so many kids in international school do not like Chinese. After all, Chinese are funny pictorial unlike A-Z, Chinese is difficult.

謝謝大家意見。
已經決定唔讀二間。 另找其他方法去學中文。 奇實我唔係俾壓力佢。 只係想佢開始講多Ｄ和認下字。 而開始有想法放佢本地Kinder原因係因為佢可以多Ｄ機會同Ｄ同學溝通。 會比入PlayGroup 或者私人導師好好多。

Just like other foreigners put their children in local school to learn Chinese.  Very common in KCPS.

It is also very common for local Chinese put their children in Both KCIS and KCPS kindergarten.  Same school site and no need to travel around.

Since your wife speaks English, the most important thing is that you speak Chinese (your mother tongue) to your child.

見到你呢個POST就諗起我囡囡細個果陣, 我大仔讀傳統幼稚園, 但入左國際小學(原因為佢語言天份高又太多嘴, 讀主流學校實日日見家長), 細女反而內向沉默, 兩歲之前一個字都唔講, 佢三歲讀IKG, 老師comment佢太靜唔鐘意講野, 於是K1下半年我就比佢讀埋下午中文幼稚園, 初時未適應都幾攰架, 好彩佢係D唔多需要瞓晏覺嘅小朋友, 幾個月後我發覺佢講野多左, 開朗左, 佢今年升小六, 中英文及普通都尚算OK, (當然中文補習梗係唔少得喇) 而家諗返轉頭過程都頗為辛苦, 所以決定前都要認真考慮個小朋友頂唔頂得順,

我好同情你,因為我嘅情况同你差唔多,我每日都掙紮緊.我個仔現在3.5yrs,佢主要跟ヱ人多,而我個工人好talkative.所以仔仔只講英文,PN都係讀IKG,仔仔同我講佢係English Boy,我試過找|Chinese Tutor, 因係每次都喊, 我今年比仔仔讀KCS,佢就閣始對中文冇甘against 啦

My elder son studied in an international kindergarten for six months before joining KCS K1. At the very beginning, he resisted a lot. After a while, he began to speak Mandarin. Last summer, we went to Taiwan and found that he has no problem in mingling with kids in Taiwan. His English teacher commented my son is an English boy. While I think his English skill is below peers in international schools, he is top of his class in English.
