請問赤柱聖士提反書院是否難考?小女在東區小學考全級前五名但課外活動並不突出,有机會嗎？

我朋友個仔今年升中,很不幸其中一次報分試失手,老師話很可能跌落Band2,所以上個月他父母考慮了一段時間,放棄了派位揀咗聖士提反(雖然一年學費加食宿要至少十萬),打算放榜後試試去扣門,而以我認識佢個仔都幾醒目加上運動都很出色,可能該校喜歡收運動叻的小朋友:D

不太難入因為本身小學生好成績的會轉走例如聖保羅男女,聖保綠等等,學費一年五萬分十個月交包寄宿,寄宿期好短約全年6星期,不像小六全年所以要每月2仟伍,不過中一精英班大妁多數是外來生.

My daughter is now studying at SSC.
Frankly speaking, not so hard to get a S1 place.  Outstanding students from its preparatory school may have gone to other reputable secondary schools with more convenient locations.  So, most of the bright students in S1 are outsiders coz they're selected through the direct subsidy scheme.  
For boarding, mandatory boarding lasts for 6 weeks.  See the school's homepage for details.  My daughter is a regular boarder.

She likes her school coz the teachers're nice and the campus environment is lovely.  But the house rules of the dormitory are pretty strict.

For English, she can manage well probably the English teacher of her primary school is very good.  For Maths, part of which covers Form 2 (polynomials).  For the rest of the subjects (except Integrated Science) like Chinese Language, Chinese History, Integrated Humanities and English Literature, the marking schemes are quite demanding and are substantially different from our old days.

The school sets out the expected marks for students as target.  If they fail to meet, they will receive an advisory letter from the Principal advising them to work harder and to give up some of the school teams (if they have joined too many).
