Hi parents,

My son is going to APS this Sept. Heard that there are many ECAs after school.  What time does the ECA usually finish (Mon to Fri)? May I know if there is any school bus service after the ECAs?

BTW, is it really very harsh to study in APS, in terms of homework and the academic level? Noticed that there are many homework when going through the topics in this forum.

Can here parents share?

平日放學有兩節課外活動課: 2:40-3:40; 3:45-4:40(大約吧), 你的放學時間就是你上完課外活動的時間, 如果沒課外活動, 就可以2:40放學。若果要搭校巴, 就要額外給車錢, 每程約$27(去年假錢, 視乎地段), 校巴放學只有兩班: 2:40, 及 4:45。

功課其實不算太多, 我仔今年小二, 小一、二的功課量尚可接受, 每天平均約做1小時左右。聽高班家長說小四就開始越來越多。

how about the chinese subject, 普通話 or 中文??

中文科小一用粵語教, 小二開始用普通話教。兩年都同時開普通話科。課本有跟CD, 可以回家溫習。

thank you for instant reply. the school seems to be a little bit small. do the kids find it very crowded and are the kids limited to an area during recess, or lunch? does your son join ECA? How about the instrument? is music weight much? how is the percentage? I'm afraid "we" are not managable, though we have made up our mind to enter APS.

空間地方一定是少的, 小朋友在課餘只在課室、走廊、圖書館、禮堂等地方休息/遊戲, 這也是我心感遺憾的。其他方面就沒得彈了。 我仔仔每周返三次學校課外活動, 當中包括2項音樂及1項游泳, 他很開心。音樂科佔的時間較多, 但在成績表上比重不大, 最大的是中英數各科皆是音樂科的3倍。學業仍是最重要。

我仔仔都係明年讀小一，請問Bridging course是否七月中就開始？第一天可否有家長在場？好緊張他的適應！

學校沒有要求我們陪同。
住得遠的可以乘校車，
我只是送女兒上車就是了。

多口順帶一提，
孩子註冊那天要做校服、買書、買書包、
交不同的費用(學費)、自動轉帳，
要帶錢、帶支票簿啊﹗
因為書本要即時帶走，
有些有經驗的家長會帶車仔/ 喼回校，
可以準備一下啊﹗

暑期班跟下學年的編班不同.

Hi,

I have asked the school that the summer course would be probably at the mid July to Mid Aug. May I know what is the content of the course? It seems there is not much time for me to arrange other activity for my son.

7月18日開始，至8月。

去年的小一適應班的內容大致有中、英、數、普、音、體和視藝，和平日上課的模式差不多。
