Cheltenham Ladies College or Badminton school

I will enter into Yr 9 this year.  Which school is better? CLC or badminton.

Can anyone who studying there give me some advice?

CLC is a big school (850 students vs 450 students at Badminton).
With big schools, the advantage is that there will be more facilities to cater for a more diverse set of activities.
On the other hand, smaller schools may be more homely & personal.
Rankingwise, CLC appears to be persistently above Badminton over the last few years.
I think both are top girls' schools and I don't think you'll go wrong choosing either.
Personally, I've picked CLC over Badminton.

Peter Pan is right. However, it may help if the student tells us more about her interests, personalities, etc. because a simple answer may not suffice.

How about Benedon and Haddington?

Benenden & Headington are also top girls' schools.
Throwing all 4 together, my preference would be:
1) Cheltenham Ladies'
2) Badminton / Benenden
3) Headington
Badminton & Benenden are of similar size, ranking & reputation so I like both schools equally.
Headington is just as good in terms of ranking & reputation & it is a big school (>1000 students - but this includes a junior section). However, I put it last on this list because it has a much higher proportion of day girls (800 day girls vs 200 boarders). It can be a lonely feeling seeing your friends going home every evening & you are staying behind!
This is my own personal preference only. As I said before, these 4 schools are all top girls' schools & you really can't go wrong choosing any one of them.

I was wondering when Wycombe would be mentioned!!
Wycombe Abbey is undoubtedly one of the best girls' boarding school in the UK.
In fact, Wycombe & CLC are the 2 schools on the very top of my wish list.
Academically, I would say Wycombe is perhaps even a shade stronger than CLC.
However, CLC has made an extremely favorable impression on me during my school visits (from the efficiency of the staff to the etiquette of the students), so given the choice, my head will say Wycombe & my heart will say CLC!!
What a decision that will have to be!!
Here, I'll dodge the decision by putting my preference as follows:
1) Cheltenham Ladies' / Wycombe Abbey
2) Badminton / Benenden
3) Headington

My friend went to CLC and now she is working at Morgan Stanley... well, she went to CLC nearly 10 years ago la, but she speaks perfect English, had been selected to play for Hong Kong in 2 sports...

CLC is a very all round school, not just for studying but sports, music and art!

Is it very hard to get into yr 9 of Wyc/CLC ? I mean for students from HK.  Any idea how many do actually get in each year ? Do they have their own entrance exam ? Please advise.

Thanks for your sharing, Peter Pan.

I would bear in mind with your comments when I do my school visits in future. Wycombe is definitely the hardest to get in even though I have no actual admission figures on hand.

Wycombe is more difficult to get in because it tests more subjects than CLC (CLC only tests candidates on English, Maths & the 3 sciences but Wycombe also tests them on humanity subjects as well as French), and it is a smaller schools (thus less places).
There are about a dozen Hong Kong girls getting into Year 9 at CLC each year but I'm not sure about Wycombe.
