請問SPCS的家長,上年升中面試是否有得見第二次就是會收?
第二次會問些甚麼?

Last year there were over 200 people for the 2nd interview but only approx 50 seats were offered.
Parents were asked to join the interview.

或者解釋一下。。。50 個位係舊年我睇住張 offer list 數嘅，而且 bridging course 嘅人數亦係咁上下。

咁至於 e 50個人是否全部係由 2nd in 揀嘅我就唔肯定。

人數亦可能年年唔一樣 ~ 要睇咗小學先。

interview 全程英文, 老師最後會問家有沒有question再問, 我同老公當日用英文, 但有聽見其他家長說沒有問問題或用中文對答.  我其實覺得家長用中或英都沒大問題,  最重要你小朋友的表現.

我當日係單拖同都係用英文對答。

Last year's topics were very general and follow up questions were asked so it really depends on your girl's answers.  It seems to me that it's simply a courtesy that parents were asked if they had any questions at the end of the interview.  Well, 99% of the interview was conducted by your girl, wouldn't you look rather awkward to have attended an interview without saying a single word?

I think parents should use the language which they feel comfortable.  To be able to express yourself in a simple and straight way only matters.

Heard that some pupils from the primary section were not offered a place after interview.  For those offered, the place is conditional upon passing the three main subjects.  There are about 200 pupils now in the primary section.  Some fail, some will go to DGS, SPCC, international school and overseas...  Guess that approximately 160-180 pupils will go to SPCS.  Then 50-70 outsiders will be admitted.

I saw there were about 1000 candidate to enter the 1st interview.

It's really not easy to enter the 2nd interview... and finally be admitted...

How long would the 2nd interview last ?

Last year my girl also said so ~ 1000 applicants!  I don't know, 1000 seems a crazy number.....
2nd interview was pretty quick, around 20 min I would say.
Parents, do keep a BIG reminder on your calendar to check on the school's website.  I have had a few friends who forgot to check/bring with them the interview slip and so missed their chance.  Remember there is 1 day and that day only for you to go to the school to collect the 2nd in's slip.  One of my friends tried to call the school the next day but was rejected.
