It depends on the kid's personality and learning developmental stage
1) My son, he is in P4 and he feels it very easy to go through every subject and he enjoys the learning very much. No pressure at all for him!! No pressure for parents at all
2) My daughter, she is expecting the interview results of this year. She found the interview difficult and if she is admitted, I expect much more difficult time for her in the learning probably and needs more intensive support from us. expected more time to complete homework for her as well. Much pressure from parents..
So, you need to explore the child's ability with the school's learning goals or the overall school culture. I believe that the school is still achievement oriented at the end, but provided quite a space for children to explore learning at P1-P3, starting from P4, the academic requirement suddenly raised a lot. I like their language curriculum, especially English, my son benefit from the curriculum and the reading culture. |
