I faced the same situation when I brought my daughter for N1 interview few years ago.

I honestly told the school principal that my daughter has hearing problem.  The reason behind is that I want to know if they have experience in handling hearing impaired kids.  Fortunately, they had such experience.

I told them right after the interview.  And the principal said my daughter is doing good and hearing problem won't be a reason to reject her.
