小兒幸運地被抽中入讀軒小, 登記時收到一份通告問會否參加在中文科用普通話授課的小一班, 但一旦參加就不能於往後六年內轉班, 請問

普通話班是否試驗性質
為什麼六年內不能轉班

本人十分贊同用普通話授課, 但這個限制會否阻礙學童的發展? 背後的動機會是什麼? 還望各家長, 老師賜教. 多謝!

Hi My son is studying PM Session. Which section your son accepted ??? Because AM & PM is two different school !!!
IF PM Session, total 5 class, now we are HRPMS instead of ABCDE. H & R are 精英班 from pri 2。所以Mandarin class will not change from P 1 to P 6.

我個女讀緊上午班, 無精英班, 亦無聽過有普通話班(全部).

上午班的教學方法比較活d, 下午班應該谷得緊要d(不知有無錯), 但阿女的課程真係好淺.

Naughtyboy謝謝您的回應及資科,換句話說普通話班的學生是無緣入精英班了,但是他們會否一併納入全級的名次編排? 而普遍的家長又點睇普通話班 ? 請原諒我咁多問題
我兒就讀下午校, 我們的孩子可是校友了

will not併納入全級的名次編排, on the other hand , pressure not too much !!! I didn't know other parents studying mandarin. But I and my husband did not know Mandarin so we afraid how to teach my son. But this year many student apply Pri 2 Mandarin Class so need to lucky draw!

I heard that P1's test papers were relatviely easier than the past few years'.  Easier in the sense of no need for "fill in the blanks", just circle or copy from list.  Also, there is no sentence making with phrases/words which is usually a popular item in tests.

Wonder if it is a decision by the new Principal.

There are English activity classes with Learning Plus but the students would have to pay.

Also, I don't think AM syllabus is any different from the other schools except that AM has no English text books instead.  However, the contents do follow the general structure eg. colours, animals, occupations which are all covered in the normal English text books.

我初時以為軒小的功課會比較深, 但依家先知原來真係好淺, 依家成個上學期都就過, 數學還係教緊5以內的加減數.  其實可能學校驚學生來自各幼稚園, standard不同, 所以比時間佢地warm up (自己諗的, 無根據的).

而中文, 我就覺得佢地的教學方法ok, 尤其高效識字, 用d比較靈活的手法, 教佢地認字, 不駛死記個字點寫.

佢地今次的test, 我就覺得好淺, 你講得岩, 好多問題, 已經有答案比佢地揀, 但我個女的同學仔居然抄都抄錯.

而常識, 有3條問題, 真係問問題, 無答案比佢地揀, 我問過我個女d同學, 好多人果3條都不識答(好彩阿女識).

阿女都有join learning plus 的phonics class.

但我不鍾意係放學後上堂, 放學都1點, 還要上埋堂2點先放學, 又無時間比佢食lunch, 肚餓架麻.

現在很多小學也開始嘗試加入普通話教授, 我覺得小朋友接觸多一種語言絕對是一件好事, 唔駛自己在外面補習, 反正小朋友平時在家都係講廣東話啦!!!不過學校唔俾小朋友中途轉就太嚴緊了.

Copying wrongly is a common trait amongst the kids.  Even my son has this problem and "donates" many marks in this manner during tests/exams.

Frankly I can't remember what's like in P1 for my son.  But a common complain from parents during my time is "easy syllabus but difficult test/exams papers".  So maybe the principal tries to address this complain now.

Comparing my son's test papers with other schools, they are not too different for Chinese, English and General Studies.  But I feel that their Maths is easier when compared to my girl's school.

Hope your girl likes the school life.  Do you come back for Volunteer Work?

yes, 佢地的數學真係好淺.

我無做義工, 因為我要返工&星期六我要留時間比個仔, 因為佢依家3歲, 發展比正常的小朋友慢, 我要同佢做好多training &同佢講多d野.

我知道我個女d同學, 好多家長都有做義工, 我問過佢地點解, 佢地話, 因為壁佈板有每次測驗/考試最高分30位同學的名, 佢想知, 要做義工先有機會入去看, 不知係不係大部份家長都抱住呢個心態去做義工?

早幾個星期, 學校攪左個親子mug野活動(sorry, 不記得左個名), 我都有去到.

oic - hope your son gets better with your love and care!  

The school will provide a quarterly handout and the
"top 50" list will be published on the handout.  But I am not sure if this will change.  It will be a tough fight for P1 this year - in 1H, I already hear of 6 kids with 100 for Chinese.  

For myself, volunteer work is indeed 1 way for me to get into the school and see how it functions.  It also allows me to meet other parents from different levels and share information.  So far, I really enjoy my time in the school.

阿女今次中文測驗都係100分wor , 不過佢不係1h.

我幾鍾意佢地的貼紙獎勵計劃, 令到阿女更加用心去溫書.

講漏句, 其實我不多鍾意某d媽咪甘緊張個分數, 佢地會追住我問阿女的成績, 但阿女不同佢一班, 所以未派卷, 又計埋平均分, 我從無諗過要計平均分.

小一咋, 幾時先捱到小六, 再升中, 再讀大學?

請多口問一句，軒小的校長係邊個，因為我哥哥以前小學的老師做左軒小既校長，好似係姓廖既一位女士，唔知對唔對呢？

Suddenly so many response ! But pm session headmaster is Ms Chan Yuk XXX.

The girls got 100 marks in Chinese. Very Smart!!!!
My son likes this school because pm session My son's class in Pri One only 6 girls and Pri 2 also only 6 girls. I know girl will study better than boys and more polite. When my son study kindergarten that school many girls, my son didn't like too much !!!

I also want to join volunteer worker but I need to work Sat morning.
