叩門成功的小朋友, 是否都是大仔?

我個仔是細仔, 一直都ng 想個仔repeat K1 做大仔, 怕sai左佢一年.但最近有朋友說考小學歧視細仔的情況比考幼稚園更嚴重, 有細仔考了10間都fail.我開始很擔心,自己的固執是否是錯的?

所以想請教各位叩門成功的小朋友, 是否都是大仔?

細仔的叩門經歷收否都不愉快? 有mo成功的例子?

May I asked whether your son has applied any "直資&私校"? or just know the doors of "官津”?


I heard that some primary schools refuse the application of 細仔 or just give a very low priority to them as compared with big boy.  That's worry about me.

我個仔都係細仔(十一月)，個人意見，係溝通及表達方面，細仔真係無大仔咁好，如果係一月同十二月比較，都差成年，發展真係差啲，所以我個仔係叩門時真係差不多全軍覆沒，然而幸運地，他最終都有一間好的學校收(最初都係唔得，是再打電話說有人放棄)。

其實我都有想過要他做大仔，不過我唔想佢浪費一年時間，而且我覺得他整體發展上無問題呀。其實每個小朋友都唔同，真係要你自己分析。

My son applied 1 private school and got accepted.  After the lucky draw, we sent out knock-door application for官津and my son passed the interview and got the offer as well.
My experience is that the child's interview performance determines! Being a big boy may add advantage to it, but not neccessarily!!

我個是大囡囡(二月),成功叩門兩間津校,明天會到另一間津校 interview! 請不要放棄呀! GOOD LCUK FOR YOU & YOUR SON !

It depends on which shool you apply and the performance of the kid.

阿女係11月中出世,luckly 亦是叩門成功。但之前幾次聽學校講座,個校長差不多講到出口,話不會考慮細B。So, 不知何解。

我個仔係細仔, 12月尾, 如果係申請後, 經挑選才可面試的, 他都冇被挑選, 只有只要申請就有得面試的, 他有得見, 幸好成功了!
而我選了111的學校 (區內較佳的學校), 亦冇得面試, 我識人幫我問, 校長冇睇過阿仔份PORTFOLIO, 應該係一早被OUT咗!

結論: 細仔應去叩D申請就有得IN的學校, 才有機會

This is really unfair.  Admission should be determined by interview performance than their birth month.  This is exactly what I worried about.  I am not afraid of my son's performance but the chance to be given for interview!

From your experience, are all those schools that you didn't get the chace to interview the top tier famous schools?  I want to know whether this kind of schools really accept big boys only.

Anyway, glad to hear that your son got an ofer - congratulations!

Thanks for sharing!  Your message is really encouraging!

May I know that whether the private school that you are accepted are top tier famous school?  Pls don't be offended.  I just want to know that whether this kind of school accepts small kids as well.

Also, have you ever think of repeating ur son when he was in KG?  Why? Any idea of his small bb classmates' experience in looking for private schools or knock the door?

I also find a boy who birth in Nov also have offer in Yin Wah and enter DBS 2nd internview. So I think it is the main consideration for the school.
Also I find a mum who arrange her kid to repeat K3. That depend your own decison. But as I find, the performance for such repeated kid had not changed so much. That is my view and not cover all cases.

我覺得主要係睇小朋友本身的能力、男和女又有少少分別(個人感覺上女仔會定d,inteview時比男仔吃香，d仔有時真係控制佢唔到)、媽咪本身個risk appetite 和 當年出生率。當然啦，運氣好都重要。

好似講左等於冇講，其實每年梗有細仔入到好學校(我識有個12月仔入到dbs添),這些case梗有，係多與少的問題啫!!

好彩我個仔係大仔，我唔需要煩這個問題，我身邊有幾位朋友都在問這個問題，我都叫佢地最好唸清楚先!! 若果覺得自己個仔掂既，又想博下咪做細仔囉，真係人人唔同!!

不過如果打算俾小朋友repeat做大仔，我覺得唔好k3，最好係n1或者k1,仲要轉過間學校會好d，到k3小朋友都好明白事理，會問點解要留班(個個同學仔都升p1)，驚影响佢自信心!!

我都覺得對細仔好唔公平, 好似比人label左佢地實唔得咁, 有d學校真係比較鍾意收大仔, 呢個係事實, 與其係咁, 應該唔好set 2歲8個月就可以入讀幼稚園, 應該要set 足3歲才可以start kindergarten, more fair.....
