I vote for St Paul Convent.  It's a good school and more difficult to get in.  By the way, are you from SPK or did you receive offer from St Paul Convent recently??

如果小朋友偏向活動教學又比得起$就蔡繼有, 視野唔同.  同事2個女讀緊蔡繼有小學, 中文唔掂, 查字典用英文-> 英文, 因為睇唔掂中文, 不過好有sense 有主見 & creative.

我阿女都讀spn, 如果得起$, 我選蔡繼有因為小女較活躍

如果學制一樣我都係咁諗
但cky係近年比較多人談論之新派學府,我身邊好多朋友都好有興趣,話同傳統好唔同,好好,好想入! 小朋友開心,有自信,英語,普通話語言能力好,好能夠培養出獨立思想........我想聽多些意見及經驗,因為cky太新,新到未有人完成整個12年之課程畢業, 究竟點好法?兩校又各適合咩性格之小朋友讀?作為家長有咩要留意?

傳統 不等如 不活潑不開心;

也可以開心到不得了, 十分自立, 有見地, 獨立思考;
活動教學 有好有不好, 有些孩子可能會因此底子不厚...學問沒有 short cut, 一分耕耘, 就一分...

很少見 Convent 跟蔡繼有比較

Very surprising to hear SPN kid succeed into SPCSPR, but still concern about the choice of school which are not MCS, MMS or DGS! 13/7 is the registration day, if you prefer to choose the other, you have to release the seat ASAP. You know, many SPK and SPN girls are still on waiting list...Seem you like the new and fresh, and you will regret and not satisfy the traditional style in SPCSPR.

SPC vs. CKY
Considerations:
-less active personality vs. more active personality
-less school fee vs. more school fee throughout secondary school
-less native speakers teachers vs. more native speakers teachers
-locations: HK vs. Kowloon
-girls' school vs. co edu

Just for sharing, I just went to a friend's kid's bday party and met a mom whose girl has admitted to CKY for 2010 sept.  She told me that she is satified with CKY's:
- nice environment
-language environment
-she walked around the school and found that inside each classroom, there is a chart of the kids' name on the board of each class, when the kid read an Eng bk, she/he gets a star on the chart, so the kids there are so happy to read bks themselves.
-the subject teacher has her own room, e.g. if the kids have the geography class, they need to proceed to the geography room, the teacher is specific for one subject only.

I think u need to choose the rite school for yr girl according to her own character and also may be yr own preferences as well............ both are gd schools.

SPC is not that tradition as other might think, you may refer to the below St. Paul's Convent School 2010視學報告Comprehensive Review, 讚SPCS是一間excellent school and a truly remarkble EMI
school. The report mentioned that the Paulinian treat the school as second home, they love to go to school, they enjoy reading ... you may refer to the below link for details:

Agree with Chingchingfa, if you prefer CKY more, please release the seat ASAP as there are many girls waiting for SPC, including some of my friends.

Nicole1111,
Same as newbkmember, a friend in SPK is "begging" for SPCSPR seats. Please release the seat ASAP if you think CKY is more suitable for your kid that you would like to have new and creative thinking.

Is it too risky to abondon spc and study in cky as it is a new school and still not yet know the public exam results and % of entering gd universities? In my opnion, spc more guaranteened at least.  And i also feel strange to see spc compare with cky ...But if you prefer cky, as other people said,  better to release spc place asap la!

雖然怪怪地,但細心諗下又好正常.

咩酒樓都好,新開張時例必好食,加上全新豪華裝修,貴一貴都有人試.

百年老店,食物一貫高質且價錢合理但好難訂位,總有人等左好耐終於等到,歡喜若狂.
亦有人隨便就訂到,但最後no show.

食野我都鐘意周圍試,你呃得我一次,我一世都唔去,因我還可以去其他千千萬萬間揾好野食.
好食呢,我久不久都會來,但唔會日日食.

讀書就唔會亂試了,轉兩轉命都短幾年.
又唔係平,有乜風吹草動,山高水底,仔女點算?
我都係揀百年老店保守d好. 兩千度大吉利是去做老麥都攪得掂既.

這兩間是不同風格的學校， 要看你的女兒是屬於那一種性格， 如果她是屬於活潑主動， 喜歡說話的學生， 那她比較適合 CKY。 但是如果她比較被動文靜， 她可能適合 SPC 這種傳統學校多些。

我朋友的女兒是現在spc學生, 但不是被動文靜, 她很有自信, 而且主動有禮.

還有, 她對我說很喜歡上學, 她主動愛說話的性格都適合spc.
