港IB考生標青 平均分超全球
7滿分狀元 英基加拿大國際漢基包攬
中產家長對國際文憑試（IBDP，International Baccalaureate Diploma）趨之若鶩，原來本港IB考生亦特別標青！今屆全港共出產7名滿分IB狀元，比率為全球考生的3倍；狀元以外的考生亦屬高水平，以45分為滿分，港生平均分高達34.3，較全球平均分更高出4.6分。

本報比拼各校IB成績亦發現，英基轄下5校、加拿大國際及漢基國際學校包攬7名狀元，漢基的考生平均分冠絕香港。

今年5月舉辦的IBDP考試上周放榜，全港有13間學校，總共1,200多人報考；每年一月開學的澳洲國際學校，亦有約30名考生，參加了去年底舉辦的上屆IB試。

滿分狀元比率 高全球2倍

港生在這個國際試的表現如何？本報向IB辦公室查詢後發現，港生的IB成績及狀元比率，原來超越了全球整體水平（見表）。

狀元數目方面，今屆共有7名考生奪得滿分45分，佔全體考生近0.6%，較全球狀元比率、即近0.2%，高出兩倍，可謂狀元搖籃。

港生的平均分亦鶴立雞群，最近6年，全球考生平均分一直介乎29至31分，但港生遠超於此，今屆平均分達34.3，較同屆全球平均分高出4.6分；合格率亦接近97%，較全球水平高出19個百分點。

加拿大國際 狀元比率稱冠

本報獲全數14間歷屆有學生應考IB試的學校提供考生成績，包括轄下5間中學有考生應考的英基。

比拼各學校的表現可發現，英基、加拿大國際及漢基可謂大贏家。

英基5校包攬了最多、合共4名狀元，但論狀元比率，則以加拿大國際學校取勝，該校考生較少，但仍出產兩名狀元，佔其考生2%；漢基有1名狀元，平均分是全港之冠，達36.6分。

李寶椿聯合世界書院雖沒狀元誕生，但仍出產了9名奪44分的「榜眼」，及6名奪43分的「探花」。

港生在IB試表現優異，令人欣喜，但值得留意的是，這不反映全港學生水平。

9中學辦課程 涉男拔弘立

現時報考IB試的，全為家長爭崩頭的國際學校和直資學校，取錄的大多是尖子，考生質素自然較有保證；反觀，不少國家IB教育普及化，學生質素參差，難免被表現遜色的考生，拖低整體成績。

事實上，本港除了上述14間學校已報考IBDP外，亦有9間中學於本學年或下學年開辦IBDP課程，最快明年有首屆考生出爐，全為著名國際、直資或私立學校，包括拔萃男書院、聖保羅男女中學、弘立書院等，相信可令港生在IB試中保持佳績。

It's not unusual to see super athletes being accepted by well-known universities. Au Hoi Shun Stephanie (the girl who represented Hong Kong for Olympics) was accepted by UCB even she got <25 in CE

This summer, my son spent a few weeks in attachment and then SAT camp for coming SAT examination. US may not his target, we still recommend him to take it as back up.

In coming year, he will work harder in Chinese and English as he will take A SL. That's the area he may lose some scores, for medicine or other hot programs, he doesn't have much margin......

Originally, he has some topics of EE and TOK. Now, he may have second thought to get better grades.

Last year, It's difficult to buy IB textbooks for my son. I tried B&N last year, availability was an issue.

This year I used Amazon UK to buy IB textbooks, very convenient and most books are available. You can have choices of delivery, take the faster one as our delivery costs are for international express. The leadtime is 4-5 days.
