SHCC is gov't aided school so it follows the allocation system by the EDB with basically two stages:
(1) Discretionary Places: This involves 30% of the S1 class size. This allows a school to accept students from ANY schools to apply based on academic result and interview, etc. SHCC, however, is the ONLY school in Hong Kong that I know, who reserved ALL their discretionary places only for their own primary students.
(2) Allocation: The remaining approximately 70% (with a few more deducted for S1 repeat) are used for allocation. Since both SH primary schools are feeder schools to SHCC, so SHCC can reserve 85% of these places for these two primary schools, for students in BAND 1 and BAND 2.
If you do the math, that means around 90% of SHCC S1 places are reserved for the two SH primary schools. For example this year, around 194 out of 216 S1 places.
SHCS is gov't aided so the class size would be around 150. For SHCSPS, it would be around 100-120 a year. So, the total is around 260 for the 194 places in SHCC. That's around 75%.
