Honestly, I didn't pay special attention to "spelling".
When my girl took the Movers test, she was already in her P.2 and she understood/could recite almost 100% of the required vocabs.
For Flyers stage, though the vocabs designated are a bit difficult than before, I think my girl understood all and could recite around 95% of them by her own.
You know better how your kid's English level is. If s/he is too far from it, it is much better to have more revision on the word list before starting the past paper. If the gap is small or even nil, you can go straight to the past paer.
In fact, I find that the general primary students in HK can write/read better than they speak. I think parents should also pay attention to the "speaking" part when going through the material with their children.
My girl told me that the actual test was very similar to the past paper she had done. |
