學校是有派過關於donation的通告，但內容一定列明是自由參與，並非強迫性的。
Even為學校設施raffle tickets，若有剩下，也可return 回校。
據我所知，就算沒有捐款，也學校也不會查問的。

Yes,  

Of course, the school will NEVER 強迫 for any donation.

And parents can NEVER make any donation.

But the school will sent out "invitations for donations" a couple of times per year.

For the parents who have boys studying in DBSPD, please tell other parents how many "donation invitations" in all kinds you have received since the school started. (don't leave out the donations to the secondary school. )

For the DBSPD parents who has never made any donation to the school since the school started, please raise your hands here.  ....

我看叫捐錢都是自願性質的，唔只係名校會咁做，好多學校都有。
我個仔唔係DPSPD既學生，但佢間學校開學至今收到不少於5樣籌款募捐，有明愛賣物會raffle tickets、賣物會捐獻玩具、中學部建新校舍籌募經費的幾項活動如音樂會、表演會、晚宴…..
我自己覺得如果捐款係用於學校的，如果能力許可，我都會出一點力，因為兒子係該校學生，將來對兒子亦有所得益，D設施佢都有份用架嘛。我自己對我母校都好支持，雖然無女兒係個度就讀，但始終對母校好有感情，幫到手一定幫，可能呢D就叫”sense of belonging”。

Pledges for donations -  at least parents can have a choice, decisions re donations (and amounts) are on a voluntary basis, unlike some schools where they simply impose misc. fees and levies requiring payment compulsorily.

我相信讀任何一間學校, 無論是津校, 私校或直資都會有donation, 而DBSPD今年是第一年開學, 可能會有好多傳聞, 但是不是像外間那樣所說呢? 我相信DBSPD的家長是最清楚.
