how many P6 students and S1 students?
If around 9x students are outsiders, you can calculate how many P6 students from LSPD can get in LSC.

P6 7班 S1 亦是7班, all band 3 in P6 must out.  It does not say all discretion places are outsiders.  學校可收回喇小band one 學生. 話明學校有自主權,   Of course I cannot guarantee all band 2 students can go LSC this year.  I am sure for last year and in the past.  Anyway, believe it or not is your choice.  I only advice to apply only for luck.  That is why so many parents 爭入喇小是為了升喇中的機會比外界大

If there are 76 places, why in lucky draw教育局白紙黑字寫明only 18個位，而甲部無地區限制只有2個位,你信自行收生階段幾十個位全部收outsiders? 喇小band one 亦可申請, So not all are outsiders. 還有預留10個留班位,所以對外位很少, But if you still believe 76 places , I have nothing to say.

You know why LSC and LSPS not 結龍?! Because LSC wants to get rid of their band 2-3 students. This is  reality.

If you still believe in what you believed, nobody can help. But for those who are band 2 in LSPS, just don't assume that you must get a place in LSC.

Only a proportion (NOT ALL) of band 2 LSPS students could go to LS College in the past few years.

LSC will have 238 S1 students in 2010-2022.

In the discretionary stage, LSC has admitted about 76 students, about 10 of them come from LS Primary (some of them are not band 1 students but good at sports or arts) and 66 come from outside.

In the coming place allocation stage, LSC will admit about 158 P6 students, including 138 from LS Primary (all its band 1 and a proportion of band 2 students), 18 from Kowloon City District and 2 from all districts (LSPS students can also succeed by lucky draw.

The remaining 4 places (238-76-158) are reserved for S1 repeaters or knock door.

So, this year, LSC will have about 86 (66+18+2) outsiders and at least 148 from LS Primary six students (out of its 227 P6 graduates).

我個仔係今年中一生, 全級264人, 佢嗰班約11-12個外來生, 如此推算約有8X-90人係外來生, 有叩門位, 不過極少,競爭激烈。今年點解少咗咁多學額, 唔知係唔係應教育局政策, 每班減少兩三個呢?

Good analysis but some figures are incorrect.

2010 LSC S1開7班，每班應該由舊年38人減為36人，即是全級共(36x7)=252人；
扣減保留位(九龍城網)的138人給自己小學，剩下(252-138)=114人；
再扣減自行收生的76人，剩下(114-76)=38人；
统一派位乙部：九龍城網(18)、油尖旺(2)、深水埗(2)共有(18+2+2)=22人；
统一派位甲部：(22/90%)x10%=2人；
再扣減埋统一派位共有(22+2)=24人，所以剩下(38-24)=14人；
這14人如果有2個係留班生的話，咁今年應該有12個叩門位，有意者不妨預早準備吓筆試，7月6日到時去試吓！

According to my source (a P6 parent who has just attained parents meeting last night), each class of LSC S1 will be reduced to 34 only! Hope this is not true.

Please check with the principal or other parents.  Thanks.

I think it could happen in 2011 for 34 students per class.  It would sound unrealistic to assume no S1 repeater according to the figures if this happens in 2010.  

It seems to be
2009-2010 S1 7 classes (38 students per class)
2010-2011 S1 7 classes (36 students per class)
2011-2012 S1 7 classes (34 students per class)
