楝咗私校，會影響到统一派位.....

我聽到ＤAuntie 講，話如果楝咗私校，會影響到统一派位，唔知有無人知？

二年前，我也聽聞過。
但事實並不是，因我有朋友曾經擔心此問題，故沒有據報考私校，結果統一派位亦被派到八至十志願。
若然經濟許可的話，一定要考私校作後備。

I have only heard that if u get accepted by a Direct-Aided school you will have to give up the government allocation.    Otherwise your government allocation will proceed.  I therefore cannot see how the allocation can be affected.  Say, you have 20 or 25 points and can get a place in round 1, I do not understand how this can be "taken away" simply because you have accepted a place in a private school.  

Also, I do not understand how the R2 "lot-drawing" can be affected by accepting the offer from a private school.  Do they "load" the dice of those who have accepted places in private schools?

I don't believe it.我上年都有報私校,.有兩間交了留位費.但我o係統一派位時派到甲部跨區笫一志願.應該唔關事既.

I don't understand - if I have (for example) 25 points and can get a seat in R1, how can the government take my place away from me simply because I have accepted an offer from a private school?  Do they deduct 10 points from me?

"anecdotes" are not too helpful ("o, last year I did not get a good school and it must be because I have accepted a private school.")  That may just be bad luck.  Has anyone asked the EMB?

this is true provided that the private schools allow you to do so !

Many private schools ( like DGJS ) do not allow students to join the R2 if the students have
registered .

OK, but even for round 2, how would one's chances be affected if one has applied for (and been accepted) by a private school?

1.  EMB will not take your name out of R2.

2.  Would the private school require you to take your name out of R2?   If not, then would EMB do anything to influence the chances of an applicant in R2?  If R2 is by drawing lots, then how can the chances be affected?

應該唔會,因為統一派位是電腦隨機的, 而私校是獨立運作,只有揀了直資才要決定其取捨.

唔係bor, 唔係一定有直資offer至唔可以join統一派位(我指既係第二round攪珠, 係咪咁叫?), 有d私校都有規定有offer唔可以join統一派位架
我個女學香港真光, 小學係私校, 有個同學媽咪個仔arm arm升小一, 佢話真光(香港), 如果要留小一位, 就唔可以join統一派位, 只可以join第一round自行分配學位
相反九龍真光又無咁做wor, 我同事個女都係有九真offer去攪珠既
不過係咪有私立offer會影響派位, 我都唔知呀...

點解我咁講，因為我識Ｄ朋友好多在私校留咗位，在 R2 就派唔到好 choice, 反而無考私校就抽到 first choice. 有無人試過考到好私校又抽到 first choice？
