Think you should check with more Dr.
MCH and a Paed Dr and a Paed Neurologist were telling me that my baby is normal, at most very mild delay but turned out that she was delay and has muscle tone problem, so we were a few months dragged because of very wrong professional "unprofessional" advise. My baby should have caught up faster if they believe in early intervention. Trust a PT or OT or ST than a Dr or nurse.
The early intervention is crucial to our babies. That's right! I am a new mom and I don't know about this before when my boy was a baby. I heard some people said babies have their own developmental pathway, thus no need to push them. However, my husband didn't agree and he taught my son to turn when he was 5 months old. (usually babies can turn around 3 months). When my new maid came, my boy was 8 months. She was experienced in taking care of babies. She felt my baby is a bit late. So she taught him to sit, then crawl, then stand and walk. He can walk when he was 13 months, which is normal.
Although, we don't need to worry too much. But definately, we need to do something to help them. One step behind will affect the next step. Our little help can benefit our babies.
