請問有冇家長因為派位或考直資、私立的結果不好，而選擇repeatK3或P1，可否分享下經驗?

如果你小朋友讀咗小一，無論官津、私校定直資，就唔可以再玩呢個小一入學統籌辦法．但係如果你只係參加咗第一part，即係自行派位，又無獲派小學，而你決定唔玩第二part統一派位，畀小朋友repeat K3，咁下學年就可以再參加小一入學統籌辦法．不過你個小朋友會唔會已經預咗升小一？

I mean 己經參加了自行及統一派位，但結果都是不好，而考慮 either :

1.Repeat K3 (For細囝細囡on1y) –小朋友因為己參加過自行及統一，所以只可在Repeat個年考直資或私立，直至考到為止，請問在Repeat個年，小孩子的表現是否大有不同（因為己經變了大囝大囡）? 又學校是否較喜歡大囝大囡?
好處：直資及私立的選擇會多d，因既仍然是K3生，而小朋友應該會成熟d
壞處：個小朋友因已在前一年放棄了個政府位，一定要考到直資或私立，才有書讀

2. Repeat P1 –即無論派位派到怎樣，都先拿了政府個位，然後再在9月初的時候，再考來年的P1
好處：個小朋友一定有書讀，因己有個政府位
壞處：直資及私立的選擇會少左，因為有些小學不接受已是P1的學生申請

get a seat for P1 frist, after one year, try to get a seat from a better school for P1 or P2.

I will training my kid while he is in P1.  It is too early to repeat and may not necessary.

乜唔係參加統一派位後，政府派左個學位比你，你便一定要幫個小朋友註冊同比佢番個間學校，否則家長會惹官非，因為而家係免費及強迫教育，亦避免左 Option 1 可能出現既情況，即小朋友“一定要考到直資或私立，才有書讀”？

有無人可以 confirm?

點解要預repeat呢？如果早d做準備，又考多d學校，到時候唔可能一間都無架，加油啦

I heard that you can decline the offer from the govt. after the P1 allocation and repeat K3, should be no legal problem. Then next year you cannot enter the P1 allocation again. If you cannot get a private school seat, the government will still allocate a seat for you, but there's no choice and the seat will be those left after everybody gets one, that means the seat will be the most undesirable ones.

Getting the P1 seat first is better.  At least your kid can learn something more challenging and thus more equipped next year. Besides, the kid may like the P1 school and you'll find it not that bad (though may not be a brand name school). Also, you can enjoy your right to the lucky draw this year. If you don't join the lucky draw this year and then get a DSS next year, you lose the chance of lucky draw.

No. I asked Education Dept and for small kids, (Sep-Dec) if after the first and second round allocation and you decide to repeat K3, you can still have another chance for the allocation process again.  So you can say you first see the draw results first and if you want to try for another year, you can do so by calling them and saying you are repeating K3. But personally I think repeating K3 does not guarantee a good gov't school or DSS school.

So you mean small kids can enter into both first and second round allocations twice if their parents choose to do so?

It seems that we get different answer from EDB.  I also call them for same question for repeating K3, and they said that if I have drawn in 1st year but decline the offer.  I CANNOT join any P1 allocation next year although I'm repeating K3.  I could only looking for a seat from DSS or private school

Let me call EDB again tomorrow.

Option 1 does not sound gd to kids psychologically - why do i hv to repeat K3 while all my classmates will be promoted to P1?
