小洋媽,
1. 如果有些家長英華同DBS都有位, 我相信大部份的家長都是為他人設想的, 應該最後註冊日後應該知道有幾多位free出來. 不過24/12小學可能已經放假了, 亦唔知學校call waiting list的時間.
2. 候補名單就是有份參加第二輪面試, 而未被取錄的150人. 我昨天打過電話問學校, 問幾時call waiting list. 職員答唔到我時間, 但有提過, waiting list佢地係根據分數排了次序的.
4. 我唔知幾時交最好. 但昨天我都準備了一封叩門信, 預備今天可以親身交到學校. ~ 雖然我聽到話waiting list已排了次序, 但交了叩門信我相信會讓我感覺好一點.
如果每星期都交一封叩門信 ~ 我都覺得好像太密了.
不如你去英華小學的forum, 問問有沒有家長是叩門而入的, 請他們(pm)分享經驗.

我估英華與男拔, 大部份都會一心一意揀男拔, 所以好少人會同時hold住兩個位.

我同妳是一样阿仔沒有入到yw,今早我已打過电話去學校問過了,他們講如果21日有人放弃學位的話,學校會按他們手上那份wating list 名單打給家長的,就算現在寄什麼去學校都好,學校接电話的人講,他們都是照那份wating list名單的先後去call 人的啦.
我想我們都是等到22日後看下有沒有人沒有去注册在做打算吧......
不過我想多數家長都會去注册的啦,後備位真的要打???

My friend's son is in p2 now, after he finished his 2nd interview he was not on the list, however he received the call immediately after the registration date and the call was made by principal Lam, so dont give up.

For those willing to give up the offers, please kindly do it asap.

I knew the waiting list for St. Stephen is 289 and the St. Paul Boy is 50 in the first batch. SO, please write or inform the school asap, it may help lots of parents.

And also 陳守仁(TSL), cos' the kids that are on the waiting list will only be held till the end of Dec.   After that , they need to do the interview process all over again in June.......... I think it's a nice thing to release the seats asap once you have decided that you wouldn't choose that particular school.  Thanks!

you are right.  I did fall into sleep and then my husband wake me up.  Then I can't fall into sleep afterward ..............

I will take YW and not register St Paul Boys on Dec 19. We will also give up St Stephens although we had paid $5500.
Don't want to hold up places for the parents who are waiting.

Your son must be really smart.  
We did not have chance for 2nd in for St Paul Boy and St. Stephen is on waiting list.  YW is my 1st offer so far.
My husband and my son like St. Stephen more while I like YW more.
Can I know why you pick YW againist St Stephen?

yes, we are so happy that my son got accepted also...ying wa is always my 1st choice!!!!
now, i need to arrange transportation coz i live in HK island. can any HK-islander share their view on the transportation? maybe we can request the school to offer this service if we have enough ppl...

我想校方加港島線, 成為直資學校之後, 應該比以前更多港島人讀, 不愁無客, YW近南昌站, 最好以西隧過海, 唔知有無東區人讀YW, 如果無, 由一早7點, 由灣仔去西環大約是15分鐘, 西隧去YW, 大約15分鐘, 車費因為要過西隧, 可能會幾貴下, 不過, 如果不用7時前上車都值得既...
