我想問各位媽媽, 啟思小學, 啟基小學, 定係維多利亞小學邊間好D?因為我想我的小朋友讀得開心又愉快.

啟思小學 is not an easy school to study, it is a traditional school.

Few choose 啟基小學 or only as backup as the standard is easy but the kids definitely have a happy life there.

I do not have any idea in Victoria primary.

Dear powerfuffbaby,

My boss's son is studying P.3 or P.4 in 啓基小學 now.  I only know that his son was in P.1 that time.  He could not know how to write "How are you ??" in dictation.  It's really terrible.

However, this school has its merit.  The students are very free and happy.  No pressure in doing the homework.   Moreover, if your kid will study overseas sceondary school, it will not be problem.  If not, it's better to take the others.

My son is studying in Victoria P1. It is an IB certified school.  Most subjects are taught in English, but Chinese is taught in Putonghua (but there is a Cantonese class for those prefer Cantonese), PE and Music are taught in Cantonese.  Class size is about 25/26 but would not exceed 30.  At least 50% of teachers are native speakers.  

Not much homework but children have weekly English and Chinese spelling tests.  I’ve compared the academic teaching pace (i.e. number of text books completed) of Victoria with St. Paul's Convent and Mary Mount, I think Victoria is about 30-40% behind these schools.  No exam in P1.  Lots of poem recite, show-and-tell, visits etc types of activities.  My son is very happy studying in this school.

The current campus is a bit small.  A grand campus for primary and secondary classes is being built in 深灣道.
