I think some parents would give up the seats eventually, but probably not now..coz some kindergarten hasn't have interview yet. Right now, i think most of the parents would pay and register first in order to secure the seat.

I just received the waiting list letter....quite disappointed, as I think my boy has performed quite well in the interview. My boy is small boy (0709). He could perform almost all the requirements from the teacher during the interview and he said good afternoon, goodbye to the teacher and and push back the chair by himself at last. The teacher asked me several questions and I think I can answer quite well and the teacher talked with us quite happily. But we have once changed the interview time (as my boy got fever on the original day) and we interviewed on 13-Nov). Also, we lived in Tung Chung and the teacher asked me why we applied that school as we live very far away). Not sure if these are the reasons for not being selected....

My son is on the waiting list. Not sure if there are only acceptance and waiting but no direct rejection, meaning that the chance of getting an offer from the waiting list is very slim.
