In term of English standard, I think St. Clare is higher than RC.  Just personal opinion.  I would love my daughter to grow up like a lady.  I think my daugthter is too active in a co-ed school.  I know a lot of good comments for RC.  Even though I read a lot of resources.  When I mention RC to St. Clare, nearly everybody told me to choose St. Clare.  In comparing to RC, St. Clare is absolutely a best choice for girls.  And some of my friend's daughter also got 23 marks in HKCEE last year.  As somebody said previous, St. Clare girls grown up silently to acheive high level of results.  

By the way, I am still waiting for the 2nd interview result for a wellknown girls school.  Of course, I hope my daughter be the part of that family.  

I got a little brother too.  After my daughter, I will try my best for my son.

Actually, my sister was graduated from st. clares secondary.  In the old days, not many girls can enter into the universities in HK and she was one of the few entering USTHK.

Based on my understanding, st. clares girls are polite and have good manners.  But academic level... not "smart" enough.  That's my concern.  

RC to me is famous school for boys but I'm not sure if this is really better.  Decision making is difficult process but I believe admission to primiary school is critical to my girl!  Therefore, if this decision may benefit my daughter and son, I will try to spend more time.

I have made my choice at this stage, I have given up RC and chose St. Clare.  Even though I have got  a little son too.  I will fight for my son again.  I don't want to sacrify my daughter because of my son.  My daughter is happy and active girl, she won't feel shy.  If she grow up in St. Clare, I don't believe she is a dum one.  She will be the one like to give commands.......
That's why I like her to grow up like a lady.

Don't look back, as I do think St. Clare is a great school for girls.  And her secondary school is so beautiful and I think it is a good enviroment for study.  Actually, I just want her to go to one of the top 3 universities in Hong Kong.  Of course I will try my best to train her up.

I am sure that is what all moms will do in baby kindom.

RC 屬Band1中, St. Clares 屬Band1尾, 其實差唔多, 個人成績好唔好最後都要靠自己

反而, 我覺得RC都係男多女少, 二選一, 我寧願比我個女入St. Clares, 以前我讀大學時在engineering department 都係男多女少, 女同學一係就比男仔當兄弟, 一係就成為幾個男生追求對象, 女仔升RC中學部要考慮一下呢個問題

i know many boys (my nieces/nephews, etc) graduated from RC and yes, academic they are good but EQ is not that good.  I think the school concentrates too much on academic and kids couldn't think by themselves.  

As for St. Clares, the principal is from a very famous English school and she is the best best teacher I have ever seen.  She knows how to balance academic and ECA, and not neglecting manners, morale, and personal development.  Girls from there are all-round (but of course academic is not as pushy as those at RC/DGS/SHCC).

Hesitation on st. clares also because of the uncertainty!  Style of the new principal is so different from the old one....  Any advice from Bobee?

我看過有人post過中西區HKCEE成績, 6科14分的percentage來說, RC大約60%, St. Clares 大約50%

我也有check 過其他學校, 大坑真光是59%, 英華大約是70%, 而香港最top 個幾間我估有90%以上...

RC 跟 St. Clares 相差不過10%, 年年學生質素都不同, 所以, 幾個%分別其實不大, 講完數字就睇下實際學習環境和學校校舍, 二選一, 女仔讀St. Clares就比較好, 至少不用再煩升中既問題

Being a private school, are U concerned of the fact that the no of students in St. Clare dropped from 150 at P.6 to about 50 at P.1 will hinder its future development for lacks of fundings and resources?

Yes, I do, I did think about it and everybody comfort me saying that St. Clare is a Catholic school and their secondary school still there.  They won't be closed.  I will find out more in this weekend picnic when talking to the kindergarten teachers.

This post here was for people to have any ideas for St. Clare and RC.  I didn't made my decision before 26th Nov.  However, I have made up my mind and didn't register at RC because I do think St. Clare is better than RC for girls.  This is my opinion.  And that is not nonsense for talking in my post.  This is a free world, people can talk whatever we like.  If you don't want people to say something that you don't want to hear, then don't join!:;pppp:
By the way, I didn't say RC is not a good schools, I do say it is a good school for boys.  If you are not happy, why don't you go to another post like "people saying that St. Paul boys is better than RC, etc".  I don't know why you come here any bull shit here?
