What will be asked in DBS 2nd interview?

My son is so lucky to be selected in the 2nd round interview.  Can any DBS parents share what questions will be asked and any tips for success?

過去幾年都唔係問學術題, 反而多問處境題同創意題!
例如圖中有人跌左落水, 你係現場, 你會點做?
俾d類似雪條棍既野, 叫考生砌d野出黎係mud同解釋!
我細仔當年竟然用d棍仔砌左一朵花同一個澆水壺, 個解釋係送朵花俾校長, 仲要幫佢淋下水, 咁樣仲會靚d!

去年校長問我們如何教育孩子， 我老公先行答了， 然後我再作補充。（有過來人教路， 畢竟是傳統學校， 爸爸做主導會比較得體！）

孩子答問什麽則無從知悉， 大約十分鐘亞仔就出來了。

我們是用全廣東話回答。

   我想請問下Cherishvalue,去年in家長妳和妳先生是用廣東話in,那我想知道in你小朋友是用哪個語言的呢?

Is there any existing parents kind enough to share your experience re answering the questions?  As
I heard, your answer to the question was timed (within 1 min), may I ask if this 1 min was required to answer 1 question only or 2-3 questions?  I am just wondering if 1 min is required to answer 2-3 questions, it's not definitely adequate and will make parents feeling stressful....

You have around 1 min to introduce your son, I think the timing is just to limit those talkative parents who can talk nonstop for hours. This way they warn you upfront to make it short and precise. They will then ask you 2-3 questions, and will make sure both parents say something.

They basically want to know how you nurture your son at home and see how much time and support you will give him. It is really not that tough, so try not to put too much pressure on yourselves and your son.  Good luck.

我老公回答完以後拋個波給我補充， 不過我沒說得了兩句已經響鐘， 不過校長挺好， 示意我完成回答！

我同意所謂timing只是為了避免我老公等一級吹水佬長篇大論， 打亂進度而已！

Hi ttpp,

Thanks for your sharing.  It's really useful....at least we do not worry about to answer more than 1 question in 1 min!

Also, would you / any existing parents mind to share what kind of questions did the teacher's panel ask your boy to answer/do?

Question 1:  no - just we 2 and our son

Question 2: no such group discussion of parents!

Question 3: yes - we kept to be Jade watchers!

Actually I think we had more like 5 mins, but anyway not too long.

For the boy's part, I think the school has different sets of questions to ask, so not everyone will be the same. I think my son said he was given some color blocks and had to pick them out according to some instructions.  Then he was given a picture, and he had to tell what he thought was happening in the picture.
