Yes, this is a good school but only that the location is too far away and school fee is too expensive.

If the result is released in mid Dec while result of other schools (eg Ying Wa, DBS) are also released around this period, the $5,500 registration may could have saved.

But, having got this offer, I feel that my son is so lucky already......so should feel thankful.

You said that you had received the results ( final offer) . That means that they have released the results.

You also said: if the result is released in Mid December ...... . That means that they still have not released the results yet.

Which one is true and which one is false ?

Lucky draw cannot guarantee whether you can enter into the school you want, it's depends on luck and quite like a gambling game.  

Of course, if there is luck, you can win the lottery (the school you preferred)

But the worst scenario is: you give up the seat in SSCPS and then the worst school is alloted to your child during the lucky draw.

For me, I won't take the risk and I don't like the excitement of gambling game.  Just my opinion.

By following the thread, shirleyng5 did not indicate she had received the letter from the school, and the one who received letter is from another parent.

For every open forum like baby-kingdom, people are openly sharing their views and information but the trustworthiness of information cannot be guaranteed. The best way of course is to check directly to the school.

Dear Parents,

Your application for Grade One admission for XXX has been successful. We could, therefore, like to request you to register and confirm your acceptance of the offer and pay the fees on the designated date. Delay in doing so would be considered your willful forteiture of the offer which will be given to someone else in the waiting list.

I am not an expert in English, but I could spot many awkward expressions in the letter of offer posted by another parent.

"Delay in doing so would be considered your willful forfeiture of the offer which will be given to someone else in the waiting list"

"Willful" is a very negative word, not appropriate in such an official letter.

"Which" should not be used in the context of the sentence.

I think schools like DGS or DBS will be more professional in handling this type of communications.
