Any UK born toddler ready to K1 next year?

Dear all,
My son was born in UK and has a time limted residence in HK which is my husband is British and I'm from HK. His status is for sure he has the right to study in HK. Now, I applied a few schools but they said there might be problem for his right to be eligible studying in HK. I'm so confusing and frustrated, can anyone help?

did you go to the immigration office to verify the status? coz they will stick a "stamp" like of thing in your son's passport, and you just have to show the kg that your son has right and can stay and live in HK permanently then will be fine.
