聽講證, 真的這麼重要?????

Hi all Ma Ma,

I receive an interview invitation in Sept for York, and it states we must attend the talk on 16 Oct, and interview on 17 Oct 09. As that day, I have to work so I didn't attend the talk.

Yesterday, York call me that if I join the talk for the coming Sat (31 Oct), then my BB can admit to York. I feel a bit ....not logicial...why the talk is so important??

Does any ma ma attend the talk on 16 Oct?? If you so, please tell me what is it about??

Really!!i also will attend the interview on 7/11 and attend the talk tomorrow.How your bb performance in the interview?I think if u want your bb study in York, it is better to attend the talk.If u have another choice, of course no need la ! But anyway , i will attend the talk tomorrow, because i hope my son can study in York!

My BB doesn’t answer questions very well, he just follow teacher’s instruction to overlapping those blocks and he did point doll’s eye, nose and mouth when teacher ask “ where is doll’s eyes are”. But he doesn’t answer the rest questions.

Why you have strong interest in York? Can you share?

my baby is small bb, we already attended the interview in 2 different kg, but both are in waiting list,very disappointed.And York is the last kg i had apply before.Later i will apply 2 more kg, but York is one of my favourite kg,so i hope bb can study k1 here next year.

i hope bb can study in english kg,but i didn't apply sc, kv...,i know this kind of kg will not accept small bb, so i don't want to waste time to apply it. I think York is also good in english, although someone said that York is commercial,but c6 and me are in the same concept, we don't mind it is commercial or not, just hope bb can 打好底!

Oh, I see..

One of my colleague, she got a relative studied in York (now, she study in Good Hope)…she said English and maths are taught very good in York and have many extra-circular
activities but as you said everything need to pay, however, the school would not force parents to pay…just as own decision, so I think if your target is looking for an English KG, then this is will fulfill your target….

Well, for my BB, if SC not accept my BB, then I will choose York, I am same as you , I hope he can study in an English environment, path the way for an English Primary ma….

how about Kim Ming? Now i 've to make decision between York and Kim Ming.

What are heard from my colleagues are :

York: Good at English and Maths but many things need to pay
Keen Mind: Good at reputation but poor administration. As you know, Keen Mind has N1, some N1 students will promote to K1, and Keen Mind do very bad at this calculation, so my colleague told me, they let you do admission but finally they found out there are actually no offer for your child.
