I  agree with you entirely, monkeydog. My friend's kid didn't get admitted in the primary school of both SPCS and DBS.  However, he is admitted by both secondary schools.  He finally chooses DBS.  Hence, don't be disappointed.  Kids' potential cannot be shown at such a young age as 5.  If he is bright, he will be admitted finally.   :

I've the same rundown in the 2nd interview. The headmistress leads the whole interview and explains the culture, planning of the school, what we need to cope with in the future (outwardbound, notebook etc). She also emphasis twice that it is very convenient for my kid to go to school as we live in HK Island. And she even talk to my hubby that "hope we have chance to see again" at the end of the interview. Very nervous now and hope my kid can finally get a seat.

Does everyone got the same briefing?

Very much the same as the one u experienced, agreed "Very nervous now and hope my kid can finally get a seat". Anyway we've already tried our best, so from now on, just let GOD finish the rest. No matter what the result is, we're PROUD of our kid.

We were asked by Ms Lee for 1 question, as simple as that " What do u think of your kid?"

As Ms Lee will finally select 150 kids out of 200, would they be 75 boys & 75 girls approximately?

She said in the briefing session that it's not 50/50 spread, but consider the standard of the kids.

We attended the interview this afternoon. It's not a good experience to us as we have been waiting for 2.5 hours!!!

Our interview time is 2:15, we arrived 10 minutes earlier but we finally met Ms Li at 4:40.

I really think that the school arranged so many groups at the same time (I saw five families when we arrived) is testing our patience for waiting.......

Totally agree "testing our patience for waiting".

It's 3 hours waiting for our turn, a little longer than yours, haha. If our kid can get a place finally, we don't mind to wait.

Just want to know how your kid can kill 3 hours there? I'll apply the school for my kid next year.

Last year, we received the letter a day before the list was posted on the school web-site.
