Apart from the performance of teh kid on a particualr day, it can also be due to different teaching styles of these 2 schools.One is more traditional, another is more "flexible teaching"

Don't be so sad. My son also didn't get any offer in St. paul co-ed and St. Paul boys. This is what we expected. I think most important thing is the parental care to kids, not the famous school. My wife and I did not graduate in famous school, too.
I would rather spend more time to take care of my son, use 6000/month in other activities.

Agree. It's too hard for her. Maybe she is not "文靜" before, just being trained to behave like that!

The interview is taken in a room in the school office.  Both parents and child go into the room together.  No questions for the child but he/she is asked to stay quiet while the chat goes on.  There are a few books that the child can read to kill time.

As for the chat with the headmistress, we were asked about travelling time ('cause we live in Kln side), outward bound and a notebook computer to be taken to school.  The headmistress also introduced their Chinese course to us.  That's all, just casual chat and no pressure at all.

What do you mean by "outward bound and a notebook computer to be taken to school"? Are the primary school students required to prepare notebook computers for schooling?

Does Ms. Lee ask any questions on parents' education philosophy and expectations on the children etc? Any other parents can share?

Outward bound - activities organised by Outward Bound School to develop leadership quality and ability to face adversity

Notebook computer - bulk purchase by school, parents pay for it, to be used in school for every class starting from P.3 or P.4 (I can't remember), the notebook to be returned to student upon graduation

No other questions for us.

Our conversation was not on those topcs; it was related to the HK's education system in general. Based on my experience, I don't think there are standard questions. It totally depends on the idea of Principal Lee and the first interaction with parents.

we attend the 2nd interview yesterday (4 Nov). What a job!  We take a bus from Kln side (which i regret very much).  During the journey, my kid was sick and wanted to vomit.  then, we rushed to got off somewhere in North Point.  Got some fresh air and continue the journey (by taxi this time).  
We are told to arrive 15 min early.
We were there 20 min earlier.  We waited and waited and waited for 1.5 hours for our turn.
The most damaging factor is that my husband could not have his day off.  I went there with my kid.  I was asked twice the same question by Ms Lee and by a staff who instructed us to sit outside Ms Lee room when it is going to be our turn: (1) why daddy could not attend this interview. (2) Why did he not call us and arrange another interview time. This is the first two questions Ms Lee asked.  
So, my advice is : both parents MUST attend.  
Then, Ms Lee asked if I apply another school.  What would your choice be if another school selected your kid.
She also asked how would you travel to school if you live in Kln side.
(my feeling was that the first few questions are torture)
Then, she explained the plan of the school: to buy computer, outward bound trip, extended reading on Chinese books.  She also said the school life will be all rounded yet demanding as P.6 students will achieve the standard of Form 3.
I felt that she was indicating to me to be prepared in time and $ if my kid will study here.
I did try my utmost best to perform in my second interview.  
I feel the pressure of my kid when I was the one who answered all the Qs  in the second interivew.
After the interview, we went to Ocean Park.  I talked to my kid that if this school did not select you, it is not your fault.  It is mummy performance that counts.  My daughter said she did not feel sick once she was in Ocean Park.
