It seems like you are talking about the deposit of $800 upon the school's confirmation in March .....
I might be confused. The deposit means holding up a place in DGS while 'Lucky Draw' is allowed until July ?

DGS應該係無得抽, 不過今年, 我個女有2個女同學, 自行考女拔收左, 但係大抽獎放榜那天, 佢地都派左MARYKNOLL. 照睇應該係第一輪自行選校時被MARYKNOLL收左.

最後, 2個人分別hold住2間學校既位, 等佢地自己選.

Thank you very much for the update !! Yeah, I used to think that no place should be hold until results of the 'Lucky Draw' are released in July .....
your case is now however indicating that holding a DGS's offer is allowed.
That means ..... 'Knocking Door' to DGS might also be possible in July as some of the qualified applicants might give up DGS.

DGS是直資, 同其他直資一樣,

佢收你而你決定讀, 就要放棄抽獎了

冇可能hold住直資位又去抽獎

其他直資唔知， 不過DGS真係有得hold，我女同學都係咁，抽獎去左第4 志願，所以最後去左DGS，但係我相信唔係個個都可以咁。
